What do you mean by central enterprises?

Central enterprises, referred to as "central enterprises" for short, occupy a dominant position in major industries and key areas related to national security and the lifeline of the national economy, and are an important pillar of the national economy.

According to the authority of state-owned assets management, state-owned enterprises are divided into central enterprises and local enterprises. In particular, it is pointed out that in China, apart from the central enterprises in a broad sense and a narrow sense, the responsibility of a single central enterprise in the process of national social and economic development is quite special. These central enterprises are directly managed by the State Council and belong to the ministerial level.

It is generally believed that central enterprises have three main characteristics. First, the financial relationship of assets is listed separately in the Ministry of Finance; Second, personnel relations are listed separately in Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security; Third, the operation should be listed separately in the national plan (the State Council can write it directly).

As the eldest son and backbone of the Republic of China, central enterprises have unparalleled advantages in technology, talents and capital, providing great potential and broad space for domestic and foreign cooperation. Since 2003, the State Council State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) has organized public recruitment for senior managers of central enterprises every year.

Driven by central enterprises, many local enterprises also explore open recruitment. A number of state-owned enterprises have established a relatively perfect and effective mechanism of open recruitment for the society, full-time competition for posts, quantitative assessment, elimination of the last place, and linking income distribution with performance.
