Shanxian-Mianchi-Xin 'an Bauxite Metallogenic Area

Shanxian-Mianchi-Xin 'an metallogenic area is located at the intersection of Shanxian-Mianchi-Xin 'an Basin, Qinling Uplift and Daimeizhai Uplift. The south side is mainly in contact with the fault of Qinling uplift, and the Carboniferous is deeply buried, with no bauxite exposed. Bauxite is mainly distributed around Daimeizhai uplift. This belt is the most important high-quality bauxite metallogenic area in Henan Province. According to the structural control factors, it can be divided into three ore belts: east, middle and west.

6. 1.2. 1 western ore belt

The ore belt is mainly located in Shanxian County, Sanmenxia City, on the west side of Koumenshan Fault and on the north edge of Shanxian Fault Basin. It starts from Qiligou in the west and ends at the bottom of the corner in the east, with a length of about 30km, showing a southwest-northeast trend. Faults are well developed in this area, and the ore belt is divided into rhombic fault blocks with different sizes. There are Qiligou, Wanggudong, Zhijian, Yangzhuang, Jiandihe, Shishugou, Diya, Gao Qiao, Shuiquanwa, Bailang and Jiaodi 16 mining areas in the ore belt. The exposed strata in the area are generally Ordovician limestone, Upper Carboniferous benxi formation ore-bearing rock series, Upper Carboniferous Taiyuan Formation limestone, Permian sandstone shale coal-bearing rock series, Paleogene and Quaternary. The strata are mostly monoclinic layered, and the ore-bearing rock series is divided into three lithologic sections from bottom to top: iron clay rock (Hanshan western-style iron mine), aluminum clay mine and clay rock, and aluminum clay mine is located in the second lithologic section in the middle. In this profile, bauxite, clay ore and high alumina clay are in a horizontal phase transformation relationship. Ore bodies tend to the southeast or southwest, with dip angle10 ~ 30, and ore thickness is generally 2~9m. The ore is mainly of medium grade, and the scale of the deposit is from small to large, among which the bauxite deposits of Wanggudong, Zhijian, Shishugou, Diya, Bailang, Gao Qiao and Shuiquanwa reach large and medium scale.

6. 1.2.2 Intermediate ore belt

The middle ore belt is located between Koumenshan fault and Longtangou fault, starting from Dujiagou in the west and reaching Yushan in the east. The ore belt is distributed intermittently, with a total length of 60 kilometers. The west section is distributed along the northeast Koumenshan fault, and the east section is distributed along the northwest to the south of Daimanzhai uplift. The ore body is inclined to the southeast or southwest with dip angle10 ~ 30. There are 8 large and medium-sized mining areas, the thickness is generally 4~6m, and the maximum thickness is 49.82m (Jiajiawa mining area). The ore is mainly rich in minerals and some high-quality high-alumina clay minerals, and the scale of the deposit is medium-super large. The main mining areas are Dujiagou, Caoyao, the deep part of Caoyao coal mine, Jiajiawa, Leigou and Goutou. The deep part of Caoyao coal mine is a super-large bauxite discovered by geological exploration in recent years.

6. 1.2.3 East ore belt

The east ore belt is located in the east of Longtangou fault, and spreads in the north-south direction on the east side of Daimeizhai uplift, starting from Jiyuan summer night in the north and reaching Zhangyaoyuan in the south. The ore belt is distributed intermittently for 25 kilometers, and the metallogenic geological conditions are good. There are 8 large and medium-sized mining areas in this belt, which are Zhangyaoyuan, Jiagou, Shi Si, Maxinggou, Zhuyuan-Kuangkou, Hougou, Shijing and Xiaye from south to north. Ore-bearing rock series are well exposed, generally inclined to the southeast, with an inclination of 5 ~ 15. The ore body is mainly layered with cavities. The ore thickness is generally1.05 ~ 7.53m, and the maximum thickness is 70.50m. ..
