Yoko Shimomura's growing experience.

Yoko Shimomura was born in Hyogo Prefecture on1June, 967+1September1October. She developed a strong interest in music when she was young, and claimed that she "began to learn piano at the age of four or five". The first piece of music she composed was played casually on the piano, imitating the composer's composition, consciously or unconsciously. Yoko Shimomura pointed out that she still clearly remembered this piece of music. 1988, graduated from osaka conservatory of music and has the title of "professional pianist". At first, Yoko Shimomura planned to be a piano teacher and found a job as a piano teacher in a musical instrument shop. However, her love of games for many years prompted her to send her works to the video game company that was recruited in the university at that time. After reviewing Yoko Shimomura's works, Capcom decided to invite her for an interview and then hired her. However, her family and tutors were quite dissatisfied with her decision, because people didn't attach importance to game musicians at that time, and Yoko Shimomura's family paid for her expensive tuition in the music school, so they wanted her to work as a piano teacher and earn a higher salary. Although her family strongly opposed Yoko Shimomura's becoming a composer of game music, she still insisted on staying and working in Capcom.
