Wen Tianxiang's father-in-law was the first headmaster. Which middle school is Jiangxi now?

A fellow villager in Ji 'an asked me to write about Bailuzhou Academy, a school with a long history in Ji 'an. Since the folks in Ji 'an asked me to write about Bailuzhou Academy by name, I will write a post about Bailuzhou Academy to make Ji 'an people proud.

First of all, I would like to introduce the founder Jiang Wanli, a native of Duchang, Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, and a three-term prime minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. Jiang Wanli attaches great importance to education. When he was an official in Ji 'an, he founded Bailuzhou Academy. He went to Nanchang, Nan 'an and other places to be an official, and also set up an academy.

The first year of Southern Song Dynasty, namely 124 1. Jiang Wanli founded Bailuzhou Academy in Jizhou, and Jiang Wanli hired Ouyang Shoudao from Ji 'an to give lectures at Bailuzhou Academy. Jiang Wanli is also a part-time professor, giving classes to students of Bailuzhou Academy.

Ouyang Shoudao, word Gongli, Southern Song Jinshi, Zhen people in Ji 'an County. Although Ouyang Shoudao is not a descendant of Ouyang Xiu, he is the same clan as Ouyang Xiu. Ouyang Shoudao was the first dean of Bailuzhou Academy, or, in today's words, the first president.

Ouyang Shoudao resigned as vice president of Bailuzhou College during his tenure. Two years later, Ouyang Shoudao resigned as the vice president of Yuelu College and became the dean of Bailuzhou College again.

Ouyang Shoudao applied the school-running ideas learned from Yuelu Academy to the management teaching of Bailuzhou Academy, and Bailuzhou Academy developed rapidly.

In the fourth year of Bao You in the Southern Song Dynasty, AD 1256. Dozens of students, including Wen Tianxiang of Bailuzhou Academy, embarked on the road of imperial examination. In this year's imperial examination, 40 students from Wen Tianxiang High School won the top prize, and Bailuzhou Academy entered the imperial examination of high school.

Bailuzhou Academy ranked first in Baodu's four-year imperial examination. Emperor Li Zong of the Song Dynasty personally inscribed the plaque of Bailuzhou Academy, which made Bailuzhou Academy famous all over the world.

Speaking of Ouyang Shoudao, the first president of Bailuzhou Academy, Song history also recorded an interesting allusion. Ouyang Shoudao's brother and sister-in-law both died young. Ouyang Shoudao was unmarried at the age of 30 and assumed the responsibility of raising nephews and nieces.

When Ouyang Shoudao's niece and adopted daughter Ouyang grew up, Ouyang Shoudao found a suitable husband for her among the students of Bailuzhou Academy. Ouyang's husband was none other than the famous Wen Tianxiang.

The Biography of Wen Tianxiang in the Song Dynasty recorded an allusion. Wen Tianxiang saw portraits of Ji 'an celebrities such as Ouyang Xiu and Yang Bang Wa hanging in Bailuzhou Academy, and determined to be loyal subjects like Ouyang Xiu and Yang Bang Wa. From then on, Wen Tianxiang studied hard and became the benchmark of Luling culture.

Yongfeng County, as the county seat under the jurisdiction of Ji 'an City, is closely related to Bailuzhou Academy. Luo Kaili, the most famous magistrate in Yongfeng County, is a celebrity from Bailuzhou Academy. Luo Kaili was a national hero in the late Southern Song Dynasty. He fought against Yuan with Wen Tianxiang.

Wen Tianxiang and Luo Kaili fought fiercely with the Yuan Army in Tian Yao Township, Yongfeng County, and recovered Yongfeng County. Wen Tianxiang appointed Luo Kaili as the magistrate of Yongfeng County, and Luo Kaili continued to fight fiercely with the Yuan Army in Yongfeng County. After Luo Kaili was defeated and captured, he would rather die than surrender and die of hunger strike.

Liu Yi, the champion of Yongfeng County in Ji 'an in Qing Dynasty, was admitted to Yongfeng No.1 Middle School. Liu Yi had no intention of pursuing a career, and requested to return to his hometown as the dean of Bailuzhou Academy.

Over the past 30 years, Liu Yi has trained a large number of talents in Bailuzhou Academy. During this period, he also compiled General Records of Jiangxi, Ji 'an Prefecture Records and Yongfeng County Records.

At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Jiang Wanli, the founder of Bailuzhou Academy, organized an anti-Yuan movement in Poyang County, Raozhou, Jiangxi Province. Jiang, his younger brother, died in battle. Jiang Wanli would rather die than surrender and drowned with his son Gao Jiang.

Gu Jiang is full of loyalty, while Wen Tianxiang and Luo Kaili would rather die than surrender. The founder and students of Bailuzhou Academy are loyal to Changhong, which makes Ji 'an people respect Bailuzhou Academy.

In the following years, Bailuzhou Academy was destroyed by war several times. Every time Ji 'an people see Bailuzhou Academy destroyed, they will rebuild it.

Bailuzhou Academy is a symbol of the loyalty of Jiangxi people and Ji 'an people. In order to inherit this spirit, Jiangxi people and Ji 'an people have always attached great importance to the development of Bailuzhou Academy. Now Bailuzhou Academy has become Bailuzhou Middle School.

Bailuzhou Middle School is a key high school in Jiangxi Province. It is difficult for students in Ji 'an to enter Bailuzhou Middle School. For example, our third-grade students in Yongfeng County have to get into the top 100 among nearly 6,000 candidates before they can be admitted to Bailuzhou Middle School and become Wen Tianxiang alumni.
