Industrial Advantages of gedian Economic and Technological Development Zone

With the concept of Wuhan Science and Technology New Town put forward and the planning of gedian Science and Technology New Town, the development space of gedian Development Zone has expanded from Ezhou to Wuhan metropolitan area.

With the introduction of various favorable new policies by the government, the top 500 enterprises have successively settled in the east of Wuhan, and 150 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises will settle in the two comprehensive pilot development zones of Optics Valley and gedian. Gedian's current population will double in three years.

Gedian Development Zone will focus on developing six leading characteristic industries.

1. Biomedical industry: It owns the brand of "gedian China Medicine Valley" and the pharmaceutical industry research institute with the strongest scientific research strength in Hubei Province, and has built 25 biomedical enterprises. During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, the "Medicine Valley" will be turned into a golden signboard, and the biomedical industry will become bigger and stronger.

2. Electronic information industry: relying on "Wuhan China Optical Valley", develop related industries supporting the Optical Valley. The Provincial Information Industry Department is cooperating with cities and districts to build Hubei (gedian) Information Industry Park, with an area of 3 square kilometers planned in advance. Some enterprises engaged in laser equipment manufacturing, software development and information technology application have settled in the park.

3. Equipment manufacturing industry: gedian Development Zone is located in the center of "Eastern Hubei Metallurgical Industry Corridor", and there are super-large enterprises such as WISCO, Egang and Yegang within 50 kilometers of Fiona Fang. Making full use of the rich raw material resources of these enterprises, developing industries such as steel structure, automobile steel plate, automobile parts and machinery manufacturing, and promoting the extension and development of the industrial chain are unique conditions in our region.

4. Fine Chemical Industry: The 800,000-ton ethylene project will soon be launched in Wuhan Beihu Chemical New City, which is 7 kilometers away from our district. Rich chemical raw materials have created important opportunities for our region to receive radiation and quickly follow up the development of downstream related supporting industries.

5. Modern service industry: As the core area of Wuhan Science and Technology New City and the surrounding area of Wuhan, our district enjoys a superior location and a beautiful environment. It has become a strategic choice for investors to develop modern service industry focusing on commerce, housing and logistics.

6. E-commerce industry: gedian Development Zone has a macro vision and a long-term vision, defines its development ideas, and scientifically plans the development of the e-commerce headquarters base in Central China. The base starts from two links of logistics and warehousing, and combines "great wisdom service" (planned construction area of 6,543,800 square meters) with "big market" (planned construction area of 50,000 square meters), "big warehouse" (planned construction area of 654.38+065,438+0,800 square meters) and "big logistics" (planned construction area of 654,380 square meters).
