Zhaotong cigarette factory was founded in 1970, and 1978 was officially listed in the national plan. 1986 implements a "three-in-one" management system. In 2003, it implemented "separation of industry and commerce". In 2005, it merged with Honghe Cigarette Factory to form Honghe Cigarette Factory. In May 2007, it was renamed as Zhaotong Cigarette Factory of Honghe Tobacco (Group) Co., Ltd., and in 20081October 165438, it was reorganized and integrated with hongta group and renamed as Zhaotong Cigarette Factory of Hongta Tobacco (Group) Co., Ltd.

Over the past 40 years, Zhaotong cigarette factory has developed into a modern cigarette factory with advanced equipment such as threshing, shredding and wrapping, and modern logistics, with an annual comprehensive production capacity of 800,000 boxes.
