Brief introduction of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

The orchestra is rooted in China culture with a long history, and its performances include traditional folk music and modern large-scale works. The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has won the Best Honor Award for Promoting Modern China Music from the Hong Kong International Modern Music Festival (2002), the Best Honor Award for Promoting Modern Asian Music from the Asian Composers' Federation (2007) and the Golden Melody Award for Chinese Language from Radio Television Hong Kong (2005). The achievements made by the orchestra in promoting the creation of large-scale national orchestras have been recognized and praised by the art circles at home and abroad. The album Roots of China, which was produced by the orchestra, won the instrumental album award at the 6th China Golden Record Awards in 2008, and the orchestra also won the instrumental performance award at the 6th China Golden Record Awards.
