Does Daoguan accept female believers?

Girls are the same as boys. To become a Taoist lay practitioner, you only need to go to a Taoist temple to apply for a refuge certificate. Taoism emphasizes:

First: Take refuge in the supreme "Tao treasure", that is, take refuge in the "Supreme Infinite Way", and you can escape reincarnation forever.

Second: Take refuge in the supreme "Sutra Treasure", that is, take refuge in the "Thirty-six Sutras", so that you can hear the true Dharma.

Third: Taking refuge in the "Supreme Master Treasure", that is, taking refuge in the "Great Master Xuanzhong", can avoid falling into wrong views.

Nowadays, those who want to become a Taoist monk must not only have devout faith, but also must obtain approval from their parents. Generally, Taoist temples accept newly ordained Taoist priests and require the monks to have an ID card and a certificate issued by the police station in the place of residence to prove that the monk has a clean history and no criminal record.

The two major sects of early Taoism were Taiping Dao and Wu Dou Mi Dao in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The Alchemy Sect focuses on Qing cultivation and cultivation, and there are differences between inner alchemy and outer alchemy. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Taoism entered its peak period, and two major sects were formed in the country, the north and the south. The southern talisman sects were unified by the Zhengyi sect, which was led by the descendants of Zhang Tianshi.

In the north, there is the Quanzhen sect founded by Wang Chongyang in the Jin Dynasty. It cultivates life and integrates Confucianism and Buddhism. Qiu Chuji, a disciple of Wang Chongyang, was highly regarded by Genghis Khan, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, and took charge of Taoism in the world, making the Quanzhen sect flourish for a while. Among the Taoist temples in Xi'an, the Eight Immortals Palace belongs to the Quanzhen sect and the Capital City God Temple belongs to the Zhengyi sect.
