The relocation project of Xiangyang No.6 Middle School (formerly Xiangzhou No.1 Middle School) was listed as one of the livelihood issues of Xiangzhou District Government in 2023.

The district party committee and district government attached great importance to the school relocation, and set up a leading group for the relocation of Xiangyang No.6 Middle School (formerly Xiangzhou No.1 Middle School). The district government has submitted to the municipal government the "Request for Instructions on Starting the Compiling of Regulatory Detailed Planning for the Area East of Xiangyang Avenue and South of Diamond Avenue in Xiangzhou District" and the "Request for Instructions on the Relocation of Xiangyang No.6 Middle School", which have been approved by the municipal government and forwarded to the Municipal Planning Bureau, and related work is progressing in an orderly manner.

The construction of schools involves cross-regional and multi-departmental cooperation. At present, the leaders of the district government have communicated with the high-tech zone, the Municipal Capital Planning Bureau, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau and other departments on the relocation of Xiangyang No.6 Middle School (formerly Xiangzhou No.1 Middle School) to win support. The District Assets Planning Bureau has reported to the Municipal Assets Planning Bureau, actively promoted the planning adjustment of Hongshantou area, and other relevant procedures are being accelerated to strive for an early start of construction.

The specific location of the construction of Xiangyang No.6 Middle School needs to be studied by the Municipal Planning Commission. Affected by this, it is temporarily impossible to determine the specific construction time and predict that construction will start in 2024.
