If I study at a railway vocational and technical college, will it be easy to work in the railway after graduation?

I have been working on the railway for more than ten years and would like to give you some suggestions in this regard. It is relatively easy for fresh graduates from railway colleges to enter the railway bureau. First, the railway major is an industry major with a very narrow scope of employment. Apart from railways and subways, other industries are difficult to enter. On the other hand, it is also difficult for other majors to enter railways. Therefore, railway companies basically only recruit at railway colleges, and the annual employment rate of railway colleges is very high. Second, railways have developed rapidly in recent years. Many new lines have been built and put into use, and a large number of new stations have begun operations. Each type of job requires new people. Third, railway enterprises have a huge demand for junior college students. The first line of the railway is mainly about technical work and there are few scientific research units. Therefore, among the personnel recruited every year, college students account for the majority, with fewer undergraduates and fewer graduate students.

Studying at a railway college is an important way to enter railway work, but how your future work and life will develop requires preparation in advance and career planning. 1. Understand the railway system. If you plan to work in the railways for a long time, you need to have a good understanding of the industry. Railways are a very large and complex system. The traditional railway system has five major categories, including trains, machinery, engineering, electricity, and vehicles, namely train operation, maintenance, public works, electricity, and vehicles. In addition, there are important units such as maintenance section, inspection section, train section, and communication section. A railway bureau also has its own production support departments, such as housing construction and living department, construction headquarters, engineering department, logistics, etc.

2. Understand the relationship between majors and railway work. The major you study in school basically determines which system you will work in after you graduate and enter the Railway Bureau. Most railway colleges set up disciplines based on the types of work required by railway enterprises, such as transportation, electronic information, electrical engineering, traction power, mechanical and electrical engineering, civil engineering, etc. Each major basically corresponds to the specific system type of work in the railway, which determines the future life status. On the basis of a full understanding of the railway system and a better understanding of the correspondence between majors and jobs, you can choose majors and apply for jobs without blindly or arbitrarily.

3. Think clearly about what you want. Everything must be given up, including work. There is no complete satisfaction. From a big perspective, if you choose to enter the railway industry, you choose stability, so you don't have to think too much about wealth. When you choose to work in a different system, you will have different lifestyles in the future, such as the people and things you come into contact with, the working environment and intensity, the way you rest, and of course the salary. So, if you want to know what kind of job is suitable for you and what kind of life you want, you can choose a career.

4. Comprehensively improve your abilities. After entering the railway industry, fresh graduates generally engage in technical jobs, but life is like a drama and the work is ever-changing. As long as they are technically competent, they can always make progress in their respective fields. If you focus on your skills, you will study hard. Junior technicians, intermediate technicians, senior technicians, technicians, and senior technicians can also be admitted to bureau agencies, such as the dispatch room. If you have management ability, the team leader and district leader will take it step by step and have the opportunity to compete for management cadres. If you have talent, you can actively participate in various activities organized by your unit to show your strengths. Don't be swayed by some relationship theory. This phenomenon is ubiquitous in any industry, but if you just complain and don’t reflect on your inability to pay, it will be difficult to make progress.
