Are the emerging vocational and technical colleges public or private?

Yunnan Xinxing Vocational College is a private medical vocational college, which was founded in June 1993. Its predecessor is "Southern Ethnic Medicine College", which is one of the earliest schools run by social forces in Yunnan Province. From June 5438 to February 2005, with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, it became a full-time private higher vocational college.

The college covers an area of nearly 1,000 mu, including the east campus (specialist department), the west campus (technical secondary school department) and the Luquan campus (under construction). The college consists of five colleges and two departments, namely, nursing college, medical rehabilitation college, pharmacy college, Marxism college, continuing education college, basic department and Marxism-Leninism department.
