The Historical Evolution of the First People's Hospital of Zigong City

The First People's Hospital of Zigong City is located in the center of Zigong, a famous historical and cultural city, and has the reputation of "the city of salt, the hometown of dragons and the city of lights". 1908 originated from Renji Hospital of Canadian Church, and 1955 was renamed as Zigong First People's Hospital. In 2008, Zigong Infectious Disease Hospital, which was built by the hospital as the owner, was officially put into operation. After a century of development, our hospital has become a three-level first-class general hospital integrating prevention, medical treatment, scientific research and teaching. The hospital is one of the first batch of 500 large hospitals in China, baby-friendly hospital approved by the Ministry of Health, member of the international rescue center network of the Ministry of Health, stroke base hospital of the Ministry of Health, foreign-related medical unit of pathological remote consultation and quality control pilot unit of the Ministry of Health, Chinese medicine demonstration unit of national general hospital, clinical base of Chinese medicine prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in Sichuan Province, and public health in Zigong City.
