The middle school affiliated to Baise University was founded in 1978, formerly known as Baise No.1 Middle School. Located at No.2 Chengxi Road, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it is the fourth batch of demonstration ordinary high schools in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the first batch of characteristic ordinary high schools in Guangxi. As of July 20 14, the middle school affiliated to baise university covers an area of 100 mu, with more than 40 classes and more than 2,500 teachers and students.

The school was founded in 1978, initially named "Baise County Middle School". At the beginning of school, only one intensive class, three ordinary classes and 205 students were recruited. 1979, 56 people in the intensive class took the college entrance examination, and 4 of them were admitted to the undergraduate course. 1980, the school was renamed "Baise No.1 Middle School". 1984, after Baise county was withdrawn from the county and established as a city, the school was renamed "Baise No.1 Middle School".
