Experience of Three Years in Yue Furniture Factory —— Quality Control Chapter

I have been working in a furniture factory in Vietnam for almost 3 years, and I have met many QC (quality inspectors) before and after. QCs has its own characteristics, but the nature of its work is the same, which is to point out the shortcomings of large-scale products in factories. Now I'll tell you about the QC of various levels of furniture I've met.

1. Very common qc

You can only point out the obvious problems, you can only point them out, and you can't say why or how to change them. Without language ability, I can only communicate in Vietnamese in the factory.

2. General quality control

I can see the problem and know why, but I can't give a solution because of my lack of experience. A little knowledge of Chinese or English, able to communicate directly with factory supervisor or leader.

3. Experienced qc

Very experienced, know the structure, can see the problem, can accurately blame the specific processing department of the factory, and can give solutions. However, due to some biased reasons, they will lack the language expression ability, so they can only report to one party, communicate with the factory if they can speak Chinese, and communicate directly with the United States if they can speak English.

4. QA with rich experience

Most people in this role are Malaysians, or Americans and China. They understand the structure, understand the factory operation, have self-judgment, can directly give solutions, arrange QC work at the bottom, and have meetings with the United States to communicate quality issues.

The work of qc is the bridge between the company and the factory. If the factory has processing difficulties, it needs the understanding of qc. If there are furniture standards in the United States that need to be implemented by qc, then there will often be various problems in the implementation. At this time, it will test the level of a qc, make the United States happy and let the factory continue processing.

In real work, there are all kinds of QCs, but fortunately most of them are reasonable. Once in a while, if one or two minds can't turn around, there is really no way but to compromise. No way, I can't do such a thing as stuffing a red envelope and then delivering it.
