Is it necessary for China Bank to recruit English majors to have TEM-8?

It is not necessary to pass TEM-8, and English proficiency requirements are different for different positions:

1. The Head Office manages trainee positions, and English majors should pass TEM-8 before graduation;

2. For the marketing service position in the business outlets of domestic branches, they should pass the CET4-4 test (or score above 425);

3. There is no clear requirement for the level of teller positions in business outlets of domestic branches.

TEM-8 is an English professional grade certification through examinations. TEM-8 (Test for English Majors, Grade 8) is called the unified test for senior English majors in colleges and universities in China. Since 1991, it has been implemented by the Ministry of Education of Chinese mainland to inspect English majors in national comprehensive universities. The examination covers all aspects of English listening, reading, writing and translation, and in 25, humanistic knowledge was added. The time is usually the first Saturday of March every year, and the target is senior students majoring in English and related majors. Non-English and related majors and non-school students generally cannot take the exam.
