I. Self-awareness

I have always been interested in law, and I have been determined to be an excellent judge since I was a child. I am passionate, can drive people around me, have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and have strong organizational skills. It's just that it's hard to make up your mind, which is a big weakness of being a judge. I hope I can study my professional knowledge hard in the last year of my college career and get rid of my shortcomings by all means.

Second, the employment direction.

Law major is a sunrise discipline, and from the perspective of social demand, it has great development prospects. Law graduates have a solid professional foundation and can engage in legal services in procuratorial organs, judicial organs, administrative organs, enterprises and institutions, social organizations, arbitration institutions and legal service institutions.

Employment prospects are very broad, when the police, prosecutors, judges, civil servants of administrative organs; Responsible for the legal affairs of large companies; Be a lawyer; Be a college law teacher; It is a good choice to be a law researcher in the graduate school. But mainly the following three types:

1, lawyer:

Still a golden profession. The word lawyer is always associated with words such as quick thinking and graceful demeanor. Compared with the boring working environment of public security law, it has always been an ideal choice for young graduates. As a socially recognized high-income class, lawyers are symbols of status and status. After China's entry into WTO, lawyers are one of the biggest beneficiaries, and lawyers who know English and international law have very promising career prospects. A lawyer's income depends on his ability. The high annual salary can reach 300 thousand yuan or even several million yuan, and the low salary may only be about 6.5438+0 million yuan. According to economic law, labor law and intellectual property rights, there will be differences in income. At present, China adopts a strict access system for lawyers' qualifications, and they must pass the national judicial examination.

2. Legal Counsel:

New choices for graduates. Legal adviser is the most concentrated part of the employment of law graduates in China at present. It mainly serves the legal affairs department, legal consulting department and intellectual property department of enterprises, and some of them work in the government legal consulting department, but this part is not something that ordinary undergraduates can do. General government departments have higher requirements for consultants' academic qualifications.

3, through the civil service examination into the national judicial departments (public, procuratorial, legal, division). At present, the threshold for entering the national judicial organs is to pass the national judicial examination, which is also quite high and the competition is fierce.

Third, career goals.

My legal career goal is very clear, that is, to pass the civil service examination, enter the court system and become an excellent judge. The judge is the patron saint of social fairness and justice, and the judge who holds the judicial power of the country. He is fair, honest, selfless, willing to be lonely, and has good professional quality and ethics. I believe that as long as you keep working hard, your goal will eventually be realized.

Four, the quality requirements of legal professional goals

Judges are professionals who exercise national judicial power according to law and play an important role in the construction of the rule of law in a country. To be an excellent judge, you must have the following basic qualities:

1, excellent legal professional ability and professional adaptability. Legal professional ability refers to the professional skills such as legal professional knowledge, legal practical experience, insight, judgment, writing ability and communication ability that must be possessed in judicial work. Professional knowledge is the minimum requirement of legal work and the basis of professional ability. Only by applying the practice of law can we deeply understand the internal concept and spirit of law, make professional knowledge more systematic, concrete and vivid, and then transform professional knowledge into professional ability.

On the other hand, legal practical experience is a necessary condition for a person to know the truth of the case, grasp the essence of the case facts and find a reasonable dispute settlement method; The richness and complexity of social life are unimaginable to scholars, and the development of a case often has many unexpected and reasonable possibilities. Only those who have rich legal practice experience and are good at learning from practice can become professional lawyers. Professional skills are the ability of judges to judge cases or solve social disputes by applying laws, which can also be called professional adaptability.

2. Courage and mission to uphold the law. The implementation of any law will inevitably encounter various contradictions, and the struggle between power and law, law and emotion is common in our country. According to its mission, judges should devote themselves to legal justice. As the patron saint of justice, he should always fight against all kinds of illegal acts that openly flout the law, and even pay his life if necessary. As long as society is developing and laws exist, such contradictions or gaps will exist one day. When the law is influenced and impacted by other external pressures, the judge's firm legal belief, solid legal spirit and correct legal consciousness play a great role.

3. Good character and virtue. The so-called judicial character refers to the moral qualities such as law-abiding, fairness and honesty and the personality traits such as fraternity and patience that are necessary for judicial work. Law is externalized morality, and violation of law must be punished by law. As law enforcers, judges wear national uniforms and represent the image of the country. They must be strict with themselves everywhere, take the lead in obeying the law, and demand themselves by legal standards. To a great extent, the value of law is publicized by law enforcers consciously abiding by the law, and the dignity and prestige of law are also reflected in the fact that judges take the lead in obeying the law. As a judge, in addition to punishing evil, it is more important to promote righteousness. Therefore, it is particularly important for judges to abide by the law and set an example.

4. Advocate legal spirit and belief. Today's society is a world ruled by law and a society ruled by law. The law of social development has shown that a country must regard law as a magic weapon or a guarantee of freedom when governing society, and the worship of law must and will become a kind of spirit and belief of the country or citizens; Without this belief, governing the country according to law can only be an armchair strategist. The so-called respect for the law means having the spirit of defending justice and fairness, having the belief of being fully responsible for the country, the society and the parties, and advocating, believing and respecting the law.

At present, the main problem of China's legal situation is not the lack of laws, but that the laws have not been implemented and observed fairly, and the legal system has not played its due dignity and prestige. Whether the law has played its due function and value, and whether the law embodies its due justice and fairness depends to a great extent on whether the people, especially judges, have the spirit and belief of respecting the law; Special talents must be selected for special occupations. In the process of China's modernization, whether the judge respects the law and whether the law is supreme and respected by him is a ruler to measure whether China society is ruled by law or by man. In view of China's legal tradition, the most important thing is to really train and bring up a group of qualified, upright, law-conscious and law-respecting judges.

Five, their own shortcomings and corrections

I know that I still have a big gap with a professional judge in professional quality and ability, especially in professional basic legal knowledge and logical reasoning ability. These professional weaknesses, I absolutely can't escape, but to be true and straightforward, to meet the ultimate goal in all aspects. As law is a highly practical subject, I think law students should go deep into life and participate in various practical activities while fully learning professional theoretical knowledge. For example, practice in public security, procuratorial, development institutions and law firms, learn practical operation, gain some experience and test the correctness of theoretical knowledge.

Law is a people-oriented science, and students must not be divorced from society, otherwise they will be behind closed doors. After entering the senior year, as long as there are various possible employment options, I will do my best (mainly attending various job fairs and talent exchange meetings). I believe that as long as I persist in studying hard, take part in more practical activities, lay a solid foundation of legal knowledge, and gradually cultivate my legal literacy as a legal person, I will definitely get closer and closer to my goal.
