Baoji University of Arts and Science is a provincial-level undergraduate college. Its predecessor was Baoji University (undergraduate), which was founded in 1958. 1963 closed due to national economic difficulties, 1975 resumed Shaanxi Normal University Baoji Branch. 1978 was named Baoji Normal University with the approval of the State Council.

In the course of more than 60 years' struggle, generation after generation of liberal arts people have worked hard and dared to explore, and the spirit of liberal arts has been passed down from generation to generation, and the school has grown and strode forward.
