The demonstration begins with 1982. In August, 2003, China Guodian Corporation established the preparation office of Guodian Feixian Power Plant, which was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on May 23, 2005. The site is located about 8 kilometers northwest of Feixian County.

1940, the Japanese built a coal-fired power plant (now Fangzi Power Plant) on Fangzi Xujia Road. 1942 was put into operation, with an installed capacity of 3,000 kilowatts, which was the second largest power plant in Shandong at that time.
