Location of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie

Tianmen Mountain, called Song Liang in ancient times, is the highest mountain in Yongding County, Zhangjiajie, 8 kilometers north of the urban area. Named after Tianmen Cave, Tianmen Cave is a natural wonder and the earliest recorded famous mountain in history. The main peaks 15 18.6m and 1992 were approved as national forest parks in July.

Formed a rare wonder in the world-Tianmen Cave, the intersection of north and south. The gate is 13 1.5m high, 57m wide and 60m deep. It is like a gateway to heaven, hence the name Tianmen Mountain, with a history of 1754 years. The top of the mountain is relatively flat, the original secondary forest is well preserved, there are many extremely precious and unique plant species, and the forest coverage rate reaches 90%.

In the meantime, ancient trees are towering, vines are winding, moss is everywhere, stalagmites are everywhere, and they are like natural bonsai everywhere, which is praised by the world as the most beautiful hanging garden and hanging fairyland.

Scenic route

One, two-way cableway round-trip route:

Line A: After checking the ticket from Tianmenshan cableway station in the city, take the cableway up to the mountain → visit the scenic spots on the top of the mountain → take the 7-step escalator down to Tianmendong for sightseeing → take the Tianmendong express cableway down to Tianmenshan scenic spot → take the scenic bus ferry back to the city and get off at Tianmenshan cableway station.

Line B: Check the ticket from the mountain gate → take the Tianmen East express ropeway to visit Tianmen East → take the 7-step escalator to the top of the mountain → visit the scenic spots on the top of the mountain → take the ropeway from Tianmen East Upper Station to the next stop in the city.

Line C: Check the ticket from Shanmen → Take the Tianmen East Express Cableway to visit Tianmen East → Take the 7-step escalator from Tianmen East to the top of the mountain → Visit the peak attractions → Take the 7-step escalator down to Tianmen East → Take the Tianmen East Express Cableway down to the Tianmen East attractions → Take the scenic bus ferry back to the city, and get off at Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station.

Second, one-way cableway tour:

Line 1: After checking the ticket from Tianmenshan ropeway station in the city, take the ropeway up the mountain → visit the scenic spots on the top of the mountain → take the 7-step escalator down Tianmendong for sightseeing → take the scenic tour bus down the mountain, go out of the scenic spot through the 99-bend Panshan Highway → take the scenic bus ferry back to the city, and get off at Tianmenshan ropeway station.

Line 2: Check the ticket from the mountain gate → Take the scenic tour bus up the mountain and visit Tianmen Cave via 990,000 Panshan Highway → After crossing Tianmen Cave, take the 7-step escalator to the top of the mountain → Visit the scenic spots on the top of the mountain → Take the cableway down from Tianmen Mountain Station to the next station in the city.

Special note: Due to the steep and dense slope of Panshan Highway, it is recommended that people with serious carsickness or weak health carefully choose "one-way cableway tour".
