Honor of Zhanjiang Shaolin Wushu School

1997-2005, the school won more than 500 gold, silver and bronze medals in major sports and martial arts competitions at home and abroad. At the same time, the school also sent more than 1 000 college students to Guangzhou Sports School, Wuhan Sports School, Beijing Sports University and other universities, as well as armed police and special police, and sent more than 800 outstanding sports Wushu athletes to the State Sports General Administration and provincial (municipal) sports teams. In the college entrance examination in 2006, the rate of students entering universities reached 85%, a record high.

Zhanjiang Shaolin Women's Boxing Team was established in July, 2002. The coaches Gao Linqing and Mo are responsible for training and management. At that time, according to the current Olympic rules, women's boxing was almost included in the Olympic Games. Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau attaches great importance to this. In order to fill the gap in women's boxing, the leaders of provincial and municipal sports bureaus conducted investigation and research, and decided to list Zhanjiang Shaolin Wushu School as the training base of provincial and municipal women's boxing teams, and Gao Linqing, a well-known coach in the domestic boxing field, personally went to each county to select seedlings.

The members of the women's boxing team worked hard and trained hard, and achieved good results in a short time, which was well received and affirmed by relevant leaders. In March 2003, more than a dozen athletes were sent to Wuhan Institute of Physical Education for further study. In 2003, she won two bronze medals in the "J.J. Cup" national women's boxing invitational tournament. In 2003, she won two fourth places and three sixth places in the women's Sanda event of the 5th City Games in People's Republic of China (PRC). In September 2004, another group of players were sent to Shandong Institute of Physical Education for further study. In 2004, he won six gold medals, five silver medals and eleven bronze medals in the 10th Zhanjiang Games. The school hired a high-level coach with a high salary-Wang Junhui, who graduated from Harbin Institute of Physical Education. Under his leadership, the women's boxing team showed more vitality. In order to improve the level of the women's team, the Foshan men's boxing team was invited to Zhan for winter training.

In March 2008, it was awarded the first batch of "Chinese cultural heritage bases" by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province and the Education Department of Guangdong Province. In February 2009, it was awarded the first "China Karate Demonstration School" by the State Sports General Administration.
