The Economic Development of Panji Township

There are more than a dozen large and small enterprises in Panji Township, among which the larger ones are waterworks (invested by Huaxi people), the first round kiln factory, the second round kiln factory and Panji polished rice factory.

Panji Township Hybrid Lotus Root Demonstration Base is located in Ligang Village, on both sides of Luohua Highway, covering an area of more than 600 mu. The base is a village-run collective economic entity, which adopts the contract management mode. The annual investment is 90,000 yuan, and there are 270 employees, including 25 from party member. The economic benefit of hybrid lotus root is considerable, with an income of more than 2000 yuan per mu. Using fresh-keeping transportation technology, the base sells its products to Huainan, Bengbu, Nanjing and other places, and supplies lotus seeds to farmers in this county and surrounding counties all the year round.

Since 2006, the township has introduced more than 5 million yuan of foreign capital. Among them, Huaxi Village introduced 2.25 million yuan into the waterworks; Yao, who started a business in Shanghai by Huangyi Village, spent more than 200,000 yuan to build the village-to-village engineering road; Entering Yao100,000 yuan to express condolences to 5 households in the township; Nearly 10 people, such as Sang Mou and Zhang Mou, who started businesses in Xinzhuang Village, Shanghai, spent more than 200,000 yuan to build a village-to-village highway; Entering Yao 200,000 to build a nursing home; Xu, who started a business in Hefei, was introduced to build a left teaching building in Hefei.

The Wangzuo-Xinzhuang highway in Panji Township is 5 kilometers long. This road is a four-level gravel road built in the mid-1990s with the help of work and the construction of migrant workers. Due to the flood disaster and lack of fund maintenance, this road has been unable to operate normally, and the masses have strongly reflected it. The rebuilt Wangzuo-Xinzhuang Highway is a part of the inter-county highway connecting Huoqiu County and some towns in Yu 'an District. It is a channel to enliven the border trade economy, a moral and political project and a road to economic development.
