While working at the Shaanxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute, he successively served as the director of the feed additive factory of the Shaanxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute (1992-1993) and the chief of the scientific research and development section of the Shaanxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute (1994- 1995), Director of the Animal Husbandry Branch of the Shaanxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute (1996), and Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute (1997-2003). He was successively in charge of the scientific research, technology promotion and industrial development of the institute. After the establishment of Northwest A&F University in 1999, he served as deputy dean of the School of Animal Science and Technology of Northwest A&F University (1999-2004), in charge of administrative work, laboratory construction and industrial development.
