Under the arrangement of Director Qi, we first visited the blast furnace operation in the Third Steelmaking Plant of Baotou Steel. When visiting and interviewing workers in Baotou Steel, we learned that there are four blast furnaces with 7426 cubic meters in Baotou Steel. Among them, No.4 blast furnace is a modern large-scale blast furnace newly built in 1990s, and its safety and steel output are very advanced. Leaving the noisy and sultry blast furnace of the ironmaking plant, we walked to the main control room in the south of the blast furnace. The master worker who led the team quickly brought each of us a bottle of mineral water and sat next to the computer drinking cold water and looking at the monitor, only to realize how hard the master worker was outside a wall.
