When there is too much rain in spring, which is not conducive to the traffic on asphalt pavement, three main treatment measures are taken: (1) open trench excavation on the shoulder: from the beginning of spring, a horizontal open trench is excavated every 6-8 meters on the shoulders on both sides of the frost boiling section.
