Yantai Children's Library is located at No.51,Cross Street, Zhifu District (the former site of Yantai Library). From199965438+1October 28th, it was officially opened to children in the city.

Yantai Children's Library, affiliated to Yantai Library, has a building area of1780m2. In the second half of 2002, Yantai Municipal Finance Bureau allocated special funds for the renovation of Yantai Children's Library, and reopened it on June 5438+1October 28, 2003. Existing staff 10, with six service windows, such as loan room, newspaper room, children's gallery, computer classroom, activity center and study room. There are nearly 50,000 books, nearly 300 kinds of newspapers and periodicals, 175 reading seats, and the weekly opening time is 55 hours. There are more than 50 microcomputers in the juvenile computer training center, which provide learning and training for the young people in the city. At present, children's libraries have more than 3,000 licensed readers and receive more than 654.38 million children's readers every year. Yantai Children's Library integrates borrowing, reading, computer training and consulting services, and provides a good reading environment and knowledge-seeking service for young readers in all directions. There are many new books and various books in the library, which attracts a large number of young readers. In order to strengthen the moral education of children and teenagers, the school has carried out various activities. Since the opening of the museum, major events have been held, such as county and city computer composition contest, essay contest for teenagers "Lei Feng Spirit Shines" and essay speech contest for children "Growing up under the Party" in the whole city. There is a publicity column in the museum, and excellent composition exhibitions are often held. In order to cooperate with quality education, the children's library signed an agreement with several nearby primary schools to move the classroom to the library and carry out colorful reading activities, so that the children's library can truly become the second classroom for children.
