The admission requirements for Wellington International School Xiaoshan are as follows:

Wellington International School Hangzhou follows the principle of merit-based admission. The school adheres to the concept of whole-person education and aims to recruit students with various skills and specialties, including students with outstanding learning abilities, students who love art, music, sports, and students with social practice.

Enrollment requirements

According to the relevant regulations for the admission of foreigners’ children’s schools, students applying to attend Wellington College for Foreigners’ Children in Hangzhou must meet one of the following conditions:

1. The student holds a foreign passport; 2. The student holds a valid foreign permanent resident status (green card); 3. The student holds a residence permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents

In addition, students who meet other conditions, such as one parent holding Foreign passports or valid foreign permanent residence status (green cards) can also apply for admission.

In some cases, students are required to obtain a study permit from the Xiaoshan District Education Bureau of Hangzhou City before enrolling in the school. To confirm whether a student meets the admission requirements, please contact the school admissions office directly.

Admissions Process

If you learned about our school from abroad and are unable to visit the school in person, we can use Skype or telephone to introduce the school to you, or we can arrange a school visit for you when you arrive in Hangzhou.

3. Submit the application materials and pay the application fee of RMB 2,000, which is non-refundable.

4. After completing the above steps, the admissions staff will assist you in completing subsequent application matters, including required registration materials.
