Why do beauty shops often recruit people?

Although I have never worked in a beauty salon, all those who do this take the beauty salon as a springboard, learn skills there first, and then find someone with a higher salary or go it alone. The problem is that the beauty shop has a heavy workload, and there is almost no day off for 365 days a year. People who shouldn't insist are gone.
