Memoirs written to his wife Ying - the story of a Medicine Buddha and a Chunti Buddha Mother

Note: The reason why it is called The Story of a Medicine Buddha and a Chunti Buddha Mother is because I was born on the 29th day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar, and the next day is the Christmas of the Medicine Buddha Glazed Light Tathagata, and you He was born on the 16th day of the third lunar month, which is the same day as the Christmas Day of Chunti Buddha Mother Bodhisattva.

My story with you started in the year when I took the college entrance examination. It was the summer of 1995 in the Western calendar. I was 20 years old that year. I met you and my current wife, a stranger. A worldly girl, extremely simple. In the summer of that year, I took the college entrance examination again. In that summer, after the college entrance examination, you and my classmates came to my house for the first time. At that time, you left an unforgettable impression on me: a small light skirt and a pair of sandals that could make a tinkling sound that was unforgettable. Later I found out who you are. You are a fellow villager of my classmate and you work in the county armed sales department. At first glance, others may think you are ordinary, but once they talk to you, they will feel that there is a kind of simplicity in you that is indescribable, a kind of simplicity that is rare in today's society, and it is not an ordinary simplicity, but an extremely rare simplicity, as if I have not experienced any social pollution.

I remember that it was that year, when I was young, fearless and inexplicably ignorant, I said the word "I like" to a girl for the first time in my life. Also on February 14th of that year, Western Valentine's Day, I gave you a morning gift, a beautiful card with a little girl and a little boy printed on it, and a crescent moon. There are words and phrases I wrote on the cards. Although the thing is small, it contains the beginning of future fate from this moment.

The moment before meeting a certain person, no one can predict what kind of person will intervene in his life at the next moment and how much impact and change he will have on him.

At that time, Zhongshan County, Guangxi was in the mid-1990s. The social outlook at that time was not as colorful as it is today. It was not as colorful as today’s buildings. Things change once every few years, and then again every few years. Things at that time were mostly simple.

I remember that in Zhongshan County in 1995, there was a five-star platform and a track and field, with a football field inside and green grass. There are lush green trees on both sides of the track and field, and people often swing under the trees. There is a children's paradise nearby, which is a place we often go to. Now it has become the Great World Restaurant and Macro Supermarket. The Zhongshan County Zhongshan The hospital is very close to the green football lawn and next to the Five Star Platform. In front of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is the road, and on the opposite side of the road is the Zhongshan County People's Armed Forces Department Municipal Headquarters, which is where you work. I remember one time I went to your dormitory to read your palm as a joke. In fact, I knew very little about palm reading.

? Your family is from a rural area, in Dongzhai Village, Huilong Town, Zhongshan County. The famous Shizi Temple in the county is not far from your village. Now you can find relevant introductions by searching "Dongzhai Shizi Temple, Huilong Town, Zhongshan County, Guangxi" on Baidu.

You graduated from Zhongshan County Vocational Middle School, majoring in preschool education, which is equivalent to a technical secondary school degree. After going to Guangdong for an internship, you came back and were assigned to work in the county armed sales department. More than ten years later, you took a correspondence course and went to Guilin to study for a college degree, becoming half a college student.

I remember that time in 1995, when you were working in the Armed Sales Department, you said that there was a man named Mo who seemed to have bad intentions towards you and made malicious remarks, so I made an anonymous call to warn you. The other person helped you get out of your sullen mood. That was more than twenty years ago.

From 1995 to 1998, you first worked in the county People’s Armed Forces Sales Department, and later entered the Zhongshan Ceramics Factory, while I studied at Guangxi Babu Wuzhou Normal College, which has now been renamed Hezhou College. . I remember I wrote you a letter on red double-horizontal letter paper. After I wrote it, I felt happy and didn't expect any reply. I didn't expect that after reading the letter, you actually took the initiative to go to Babu Wuzhou Normal College to find me one day. I remember that when you went to the university to find me, you made me feel excited and surprised, and left a deep impression on me.

After that, you worked as a substitute teacher in Dadao Wanxiao and Niaotang Wanxiao in Huilong Town where you were. I go to you every weekend or during school holidays. Sometimes when it rains heavily, I can still survive despite the heavy rain, even though the paths in and out of the village are full of mud during the storm. The key to whether one person has true feelings for another is how the other treats the other when one of them encounters difficulties. At that time, when I went to Huilongda Island to find you, I always had to cross a bridge. One weekend, it happened to be a stormy day with strong winds and extremely bad weather. The river overflowed the bridge. You later told me that a person drowned in the river that day. You said that when you heard the news, you mistakenly thought you were in danger. I was the one in trouble. I immediately fell to the ground and fell unconscious. After I woke up, I realized that I was not the one who had the accident. That was just a misunderstanding.

In those years, I also went to the county ceramics factory to look for you, and I went to Niaotang Wanxiao in Huilong Town to look for you. The past has become an unforgettable past.

In the summer after graduating from Wuzhou Normal University, my parents found out about my relationship with you and strongly opposed my getting together with you. My mother said that I actually didn’t really like you. You, I just sympathize with you. Sympathy is sympathy. Sympathy does not mean true feelings. It is wrong to say that a woman is from a rural area and a man is from a county town. They are not from the same family. But I still insisted on the choice I made. That summer, I had a complete falling out with my mother. I took my clothes, luggage and sleeping mat with me and boarded the bus to Huilong Town where you are. The car went straight without a care in the world. After that, I had no contact with my family for eight years.

Many years later, a popular song called "Divination" sung by Cui Zige was unforgettable. One of the lyrics: In the midsummer of that year, you packed up your bags and left home. Beside the ancient road, I burst into tears before I could speak... It makes people feel that the song is consistent with reality, as if it is a portrayal of their own experience, which makes people sigh. Feeling twice as deep.

I have lived in your Dongzhai rural home for several years. Whenever it is the season for planting rice and transplanting seedlings, or when it is time to cut rice ears and thresh millet, I will talk to you. You, your father, brothers and sisters work hard together. Your mother was sick and couldn't go out to the fields, so she helped us deliver rice and porridge to the fields, even in the scorching summer weather. You have two brothers and five sisters, one of whom died in childhood. The remaining four sisters, including yourself, make you one of the five sisters. You are the first in line. When we were in the vegetable field, I would often carry my youngest fifth sister, who had not yet grown up, in a sling, along with my third and fourth sisters. Then I would often go with you to the fields to dig sweet potatoes for the same kind of vegetables. I am not used to farm work in the countryside. Although I often help your family cut and pull rice and sweat profusely, I have also felt hard work. But I can share the joys and sorrows with you and your family, and I feel happy in my heart. Very fulfilling.

The year I broke up with my parents because of love and ran away from home was already the year when Hong Kong returned to the mainland. It should have been the summer of 1999, the summer of 1998 to 1999. , two TV series "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" were broadcast in the mainland, which became popular throughout China. To this day, I still remember that I often heard the familiar theme of "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" coming from the TV near your home in Dongzhai. Song: "Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you to fate for letting us meet. Since I had you, life has been full of miracles." "You are the wind, I am the sand, lingering to the end of the world..."

Recalling the years before I returned to school to teach, I had been living a wandering life outside, like a rootless duckweed, wandering indefinitely. Most of the time, I lived in your parents’ home in the countryside. I rented a house on Binjiang Road in the county seat. I also went to Babu County, a neighboring county, to find a job. I entered a restaurant and left quietly the next morning. I also worked in a private rice noodle making shop for a few days. At that time, you were also helping wash dishes in a restaurant in Babu. When I was most depressed, I once set up a street stall to sell socks.

It feels very guilty to say that we have learned so much cultural knowledge, but we have not been able to fully use it and bring out its value. It is really a pity.

In 1999 AD, you took me to get a marriage certificate. I was 24 years old that year. And my story with you is not over yet, it is still going on.

In 2000, the first year of the new century, the first thing I did was to form a deep connection with traditional Chinese Buddhism. The place was in Zhongshan County, Guangxi. The famous Shizi Temple in Dongzhai Village, Longzhen, is located in the back hill of your village. It was the eighth day of April. The second thing I did that year was to travel overseas. The destination I went to at that time was Luofu Mountain in Zengcheng County, Guangdong Province. Firstly, I wanted to wash away the physical and mental fatigue accumulated for many years. Secondly, I wanted to explore and visit strange people. Stranger. Later, I went to Huashoutai Temple on Luofu Mountain and stayed in the temple for two days before going down the mountain. That night, I asked the abbot of Huashoutai Temple about the Sutra of Enlightenment. The abbot monk said that I can understand it according to my own opinion. That's it. Later, he gave me 100 yuan. I refused at first, but the great monk said it was given to you by myself, so I had no choice but to accept it.

After I came down from the mountain, I first took a passenger bus to Guangzhou in Zengcheng County, because on the way back, I had to pass through Guangzhou. However, that night when I was at the Guangzhou Railway Station, a young man came over to talk to me. When we struck up a conversation, the man said he was also going home by train and was going the same way as me. He told me that he was also going back to Guangxi. Later, I unsuspectingly drank a box of chrysanthemum tea drink that he handed me. After drinking it, my head felt heavy and I felt drowsy. After waking up, I found that my ID card had been lost and the 100 yuan I had on me was nowhere to be found. With no other choice, Wu Nai had no choice but to let nature take its course. First, he took the initiative to enter the shelter and deportation center in Guangzhou, where he witnessed and came into contact with all kinds of people at the bottom of society, some of whom were like homosexual perverts. Some are timid and cowardly, some bully others, and some are tortured like those in TV dramas. There are all kinds of them.

After that, I first returned to the area where I was born. After returning to Wuzhou City, I changed into a used white shirt and spoke at the symposium as a representative of Tongzhong.

When I returned to my hometown, I took a bus again and returned to the county where I lived at that time - now Zhongshan County, Hezhou Prefecture.

In 2001, I was transferred from Fengxiang Town Middle School in Zhongshan County to Jiangyawan Primary School in the same town. Wan Xiao is right next to the highway. The primary school is close to the highway, which is not a good thing but a good thing. The environment is relatively noisy, but the transportation is convenient. In my impression, there seemed to be no unforgettable national or world events in 2001.

When the first snow of 2002 swept the land of China by singer Daolang, you were still working as a substitute teacher in a rural primary school in Huilong Town. Your salary was meager, but you were always so lively and optimistic. It seems like you can always see sunshine in you. From the photos you took with the students, you can feel the innocence of a rural primary school. In that year, I suffered from a high fever.

The next year in 2003, an epidemic of SARS spread, and more and more people put on protective masks. In the year of SARS, I was transferred from Jiangyawan Primary School to Zhangcun Primary School. It was a very remote primary school with uneven stone roads, far away from the outside world, and very inconvenient to get in and out. At Zhangcun Primary School, there were two fellow teachers who left a deep impression on me. One was named Zhou Funian, who could play the erhu, and the other was named Wu Huawen, who had a deep and resonant voice in class. Many years later, the substitute teacher was named Wu Huawen. , while drying millet in his own home, he accidentally fell down the stairs. Rescue failed and he died.

During your time at Jiang Yawan Primary School and Zhangcun Primary School, you would come to the school to visit me when you had time. One time you came to school with your mother. Of course, I often go to Huilong countryside to see you. Only when you are safe can I rest assured.

Two years later, in 2005, I was transferred from Zhangcun Primary School to another school, Tongguba Primary School. That primary school was also quite far away from Fengxiang Town.

I have been at Tongguba Primary School for a long time. There is a Guan Yu Temple at the entrance of the school. The local village is not large, but it once produced scholars from the Qing Dynasty. I taught there from 2005 to 2008. At that time, I often went to the mountains and used big white plastic bottles to bring back the spring water in the mountains to drink. The spring water in the mountains has not been artificially processed. Most of it is clear and sweet, and it is closer to nature. In 2005, I contracted a skin disease at Tongguba Primary School. There I also met a colleague named Tan Yujia who had similar interests and hobbies to me.

During my time at Tongguba Primary School, more importantly, some iconic things happened.

There, I continued to write a large number of five-character poems and seven-character poems based on my feelings. From 2006 to 2008, the total number was more than three hundred.

In 2006, I bought my first computer and started to be exposed to the world of the Internet. That year I also bought a black Yihao brand curved beam motorcycle. That motorcycle accompanied me to the countryside and villages, and climbed mountains and ridges. Fengxiang Town and Huilong Town are relatively close, only more than ten kilometers away, and there is only Shilong Town between them. Every time I go to see you in Huilong Town, I always take my Yihao curved beam motorcycle, even though Later, I commuted between Fengxiang Town and Zhongshan County from 9 to 5, and rarely took passenger buses. This black curved-beam motorcycle was parked under the pine trees on the mountain when I went to Xishanling on the outskirts of Zhongshan a few years later. It was stolen and lost by thieves.

In 2007, something big happened.

That year, you went to Tongguba Primary School to work as a substitute teacher. You were not in school that day. The principal of Tongguba said to me: Why don’t you go back quickly! Something happened to your father-in-law! After hearing the news, I hurried back to Longdong Village. I only found out when someone said that your father had an unexpected disaster. The incident happened in his rice milling room while he was turning on the switch of the rice milling machine. At that time, I accidentally touched the power supply!

When I rushed back, it was already very late. In that dark night, among the crowd of onlookers, you couldn't help crying in front of your father's body.

Also in the same year, eight years after I ran away from home, my mother came back to your home in Longdong Village sick and found me.

That year, we held a replacement wedding banquet at Zhongxin Restaurant in the county seat.

In 2008, the Wenchuan Earthquake occurred in Sichuan Province. An earthquake killed tens of thousands of people at the same time.

In the summer of the same year, I was transferred from Tongguba Primary School to Muchong Primary School. The school is located in a remote mountainous area. The ten-mile-long mountain road is winding, rugged, and rugged. The world of misty mountains and small towns outside.

In January 2008, we moved into a 57-square-meter second-hand house we bought in the Justice Bureau on County South Road. I lived there for three years until 2011.

Not long after we moved to the Justice Bureau, a little boy named Wu Wenchen intervened in our lives. His family is on the farm, and he left it at our house to take with us. From this, I got to know the little boy’s father, Chen Jibiao. He is someone who has similar hobbies or ambitions to me. There was also a little boy named Jiang Mingwei who was also placed in our home. One of these two little boys was named Wenwen and the other was named Mingming. They just formed Wenming. During this period, I helped them take a lot of photos and videos, leaving an impression of time.

We took Wenwen and Mingming, two foster children, to live in the Justice Bureau of Zhongshan County for three years, from 2008 to 2011.

In 2009, the year after you moved into the Justice Bureau, and two years after your father passed away, your mother also died after a long illness.
