Bole City, located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, borders Jinghe County in the east, Wenquan County in the west, Huocheng County and Yining County in Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture across the mountain in the south, Alashankou City in the northeast and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the north. It is the capital of Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture. The territory is high in the west and low in the east, and the land is vertically distributed.
