Examination rules for nondestructive testing personnel of special equipment

The assessment rules for nondestructive testing personnel of special equipment are as follows:

Article 1 In order to improve the quality of nondestructive testing of special equipment and ensure the safe operation of special equipment, these rules are formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on Safety Supervision of Special Equipment.

Article 2 The nondestructive testing methods applicable to these Rules include: ray (RT), ultrasonic wave (UT), magnetic powder (MT), penetration (PT), electromagnetism (ET), acoustic emission (AE) and thermal image/infrared (TIR).

Article 3 The levels of NDT personnel for special equipment (hereinafter referred to as NDT personnel) are divided into Grade I (primary), Grade II (intermediate) and Grade III (advanced).

Article 4 Personnel engaged in nondestructive testing of special equipment shall be assessed in accordance with these Rules and obtain certificates issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (hereinafter referred to as the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) before engaging in nondestructive testing of special equipment with corresponding methods.

Article 5 The inspection quality of NDT personnel shall be subject to the supervision and inspection of quality and technical supervision departments at all levels.
