Hongfu Temple is located on Qianling Mountain in the northwest of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, about 1.5km away from the city center. Akamatsu personally ordered the "Eight Jungle Cleanliness Addicts", which was designated as the Ten-Party Jungle, the first brake in Guizhou. In accordance with the Buddhist jungle regulations, Akamatsu set up "two orders", established "clear rules", continued "legalism, hanging orders and preaching precepts" and collected Buddhist classics, which soon became the crown of all temples in Guizhou.

Hongfu Temple has three buildings, namely, Daxiong Hall (main hall), Guanyin Hall (middle hall) and Maitreya Buddha Hall (front hall), as well as the Tibetan Scripture Building and Piluge.
