Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products was established in 1934. Its predecessor is the former National Northwest Epidemic Prevention Department, and it is one of the oldest biological products research institutes in China. 1953 moved to the current address (No.888 Yanchang Road, Chengguan District, Lanzhou City) and was under the management of the Ministry of Health. 1985, transformed from a public institution into an enterprise. 1999, which is under the management of the Central Enterprise Working Committee of the former State Economic and Trade Commission.
