Amiens mattress (founder of China mattress) in 1935

In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), American businessmen brought a complete set of advanced soft mattress production equipment and materials from the United States, and set up "Simmons" mattress company in Shanghai to produce spring mattresses. This is the earliest spring bed in China, so that some people still think that "Simmons" refers to all spring mattresses.

In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1935), Zhang Xiaoxing, the director of the company, came out of the mountain and founded his own "Amiens Mattress Factory" on Shanghai-Kunming Road. The word mattress originated from this, and the products of domestic spring mattress enterprises and national capital were born. "Amiens" may be the earliest national brand mattress in China. This is a milestone in the development history of China soft clothes.
