The second largest value recognized by western society is freedom and independence. In the mainland, strict management is almost everywhere, and there are rules and regulations everywhere, such as household registration, archives, migration control, parents' wishes, and opinions of units and organizations. So many people feel very lost when they first arrive in the United States, because no one cares what he does or doesn't do, and he seems to have lost his backbone. It is precisely because of this freedom that people have to live independently under this complete freedom, so their education first cultivates the ability to live independently. In the United States, many children earn pocket money by delivering newspapers, cleaning cars, cleaning community health and other activities, not because these children come from poor families, but to learn to be independent and survive. It is this independent, enterprising spirit and free and relaxed social environment that easily gives birth to people like Bill Gates.

The third greatest value in the west is that wealth is valuable, and people's normal material desires are affirmed. Their educational ideas have been instilled in people, and it is natural to pursue wealth and material things, which can bring progress and convenience to society, and people who accumulate wealth for themselves are great and worthy of worship. Think that rich people should be respected and believe that they can get rich through hard work. On the other hand, in the Mainland, it is normal for most people to be dissatisfied and angry because of the long-term propaganda that "a gentleman values righteousness over profit" and "wealth is not as expensive as it is", because some people used to get rich by unfair means and were heartless, although people's ideas have changed now. In fact, many rich people started from scratch, and through hard work, they should be respected by society.

Generally speaking, due to different values, eastern and western cultures have their own characteristics, and there is no distinction between good and bad. Moreover, in the modern society with increasingly close contact and in-depth communication, various cultures show a trend of complementary integration. I believe this cultural difference will become more and more blurred.
