When did you start recruiting college students as village officials?

From the mid-1990s, 1995, in order to solve the "three rural issues", Jiangsu Province took the lead in recruiting college students as rural grassroots cadres. From 65438 to 0999, Hainan Province started the plan of "village officials" for college students, and cities and counties such as Ding 'an, Lingao and Dongfang successively organized the recruitment of "village officials" for college students. In the same year, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province adopted the open recruitment method, becoming the first region in China to implement the plan of "one university student per village".

In July 2005, the General Office of the Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Guiding and Encouraging College Graduates to Face Grassroots Employment. In February 2006, eight ministries and commissions, including the Organization Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Personnel and the Ministry of Education, issued a notice to jointly organize college graduates to engage in teaching, supporting agriculture, supporting doctors and helping the poor in rural areas. Since then, the work of college students as "village officials" has entered a large-scale experimental stage.

On April 29th, 20 10, the Central Organization Department issued a notice to increase the number of college student village officials to 200,000 in five years, and 36,000 nationwide in 20 10.
