Brief introduction of Wuhu specialty

1, Wuwei salted duck. Wuwei salted duck, also known as Wuwei smoked duck, is a traditional special food in Wuwei County, Anhui Province, which was founded in the Qing Dynasty. Chaohu duck is made of raw materials, with about 30 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines and seasonings, such as star anise, pepper, clove and fennel, which are first smoked and then pickled.

2. Wuhu iron painting. Wuhu iron painting is a traditional handicraft in Wuhu, Anhui Province, with a very long history. Its manufacturing process is very fine. It uses low carbon steel as raw material, iron instead of ink and hammer instead of pen. After drawing, cutting, smashing, burning, waxing and mounting, it is refined into various works of art such as landscapes, figures, flowers, insects, fish, birds and animals. On May 20th, 2006, Wuhu iron painting forging technique was approved by the State Council and included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

4. Nanling rice. Nanling rice is a characteristic rice in Nanling County, Wuhu City, Anhui Province. Nanling County, known as "Wuhu Rice Market and Nanling Granary", is one of the important agricultural counties in Anhui Province. Nanling rice has many varieties such as japonica rice, indica rice and glutinous rice. Nanling rice has the characteristics of good appearance quality, good gloss, thick glue and light bottom, and fragrant smell.

5, Fanchang long jujube. Fanchang jujube is a specialty of Fanchang District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province. Fanchang has a mild climate all year round, four distinct seasons, long winter and summer, short spring and autumn, moderate rainfall, long frost-free period and abundant sunshine. From the appearance, the produced Fanchang jujube is long and cylindrical, often with asymmetric constriction at the middle waist, skewed at both ends, thin peel and green and white flesh at maturity.

6. Lushan Peony. Peony has been planted in Yashan for a long time. Cultivation began as early as the Southern Song Dynasty, and it has a history of more than 800 years. Making peony has become the traditional agriculture of Yashan. The processed peony bark has always been mainly exported, which is quite famous overseas and exported to South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and other places. Modern Yashan peony bark won the gold medal in Nanyang Fair.

7. Tao Xin green shrimp. Tao Xin Shrimp is a specialty and geographical indication product of Taoxin Town, Wuhu County, Anhui Province. Taoxin Town is located in the southeast of Wuhu City, southwest of Wuhu County, and on the west bank of the lower reaches of Qingyi River. The produced Taoxin green shrimp is thick, bright, transparent, bright in color, large in size, thin in shell and tender in meat.

8. inaction crab. Wuwei crab, a specialty of Wuwei County, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, is a geographical indication of agricultural products. The Yangtze River beach where Wuwei is located has a vast area, dense river network and criss-crossing gullies, which is suitable for the growth of crabs. Wuwei crab has the characteristics of green back, white belly, golden claws, yellow hair, pointed teeth, obvious wart process, strong limbs and agile activities.
