Among the full-time teachers, 561 have a master's degree or above, accounting for 82.40% of the total number of full-time teachers. Among them, 110 have a doctorate, accounting for 16.15% of the total number of full-time teachers. There are 263 people with senior professional and technical positions, including 76 professors. The school currently has 110 part-time teachers, accounting for 16.15% of the total number of full-time teachers in the school.

The school’s five disciplines including condensed matter physics, electrical engineering and automation, basic mathematics, organic chemistry, and botany were awarded team positions in the “Tianshan Scholar High-Level Talent Recruitment Program” and hired 24 Tianshan scholars and introduced 1 Tianshan student.

YiLi Normal University (YiLi Normal University) is a general higher normal school under the management of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a university established by the Ministry of Education, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Jiangsu Province. The school’s predecessor was Xinjiang Provincial Yili College established in 1948. In 1953, it was renamed Yili Normal School. In 1980, it was upgraded to a general undergraduate college with the approval of the State Council and named Yili Normal University. In December 2018, it was renamed Yili Normal University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
