The experience of looking for a job in Guangdong in those days

The following is my sister's experience in finding a job in Guangdong in those years, and I will share it with you now.

I am a senior three student who graduated from1July, 1999. Because family conditions did not allow it, my sister and I went to work in a hardware factory in Guangdong that September. I feel a little sorry for missing the university, but I can't help it.

Is a professional manufacturer of stapler, stapler, punching machine and other stationery hardware factory. Go to work at 8: 00 in the morning, get off work at 5: 30 in the afternoon, and start overtime at 6: 00 after dinner. Overtime is usually about 2 to 4 hours, and there are almost no weekends. I occasionally take a day or two off a month, depending on whether it is a holiday or not. It is false to say that I am not tired. I sit by the assembly line with my hands and eyes every day, like a robot.

At that time, the workers' culture in the factory was generally not high, not to mention college students, and high school students like me were rare. So I was quickly transferred to the proofing studio. The studio is actually a workbench and some tools, making different product samples according to the different needs of different customers, and then packaging and delivering them.

Although the salary is a little more than the employees in the workshop, and the personal freedom is a little more, you can come and go freely in every workshop, but in fact you live much more than the workshop! It was difficult to find a job at that time. Few managers leave the company except the bottom employees. I stayed there for two years, and it's still the same. Although I am busy every day, my heart is always empty.

When I have nothing to do, I always go to my cousin who came out two years earlier than me and ask if there is any place to find a better job. I didn't expect that she said she had been to the city and knew there was an employment agency.

So on a weekend company holiday, I hitchhiked to that city with her. If a strange city makes people feel confused, I wish my cousin had been here, but I still feel scared when I walk on the road, because there were quite a few people who abducted women in those days.

My cousin took me to a listed intermediary for migrant workers on the roadside. I feel very old. There is a group of young people and middle-aged people around the door. We heard that the man told them about the company's rules and regulations, salary and so on. There are two white boards next to them, which write the recruitment information of a company. In the middle is the front desk, where a smoking man is sitting. He saw us come in and asked if we were looking for a job. Our answer was that he asked us what job we were looking for. Because we didn't have any special skills, we couldn't answer them at the moment, so we asked him if he had any good job introduction. Then he said to be a clerk, the salary was high and easy, and we repeatedly said yes, and then he said that you should pay 100 first, and then leave your name and contact information!

At that time, there were no cell phones and no contact information. In addition, I am puzzled by what company paid the money without knowing any work. So I told him that I didn't have that much money with me (at that time, 100 was a lot), and he looked at us and said, 20 yuan will do! We were confused by him. My intuition is that we entered the black intermediary, so I pretended to tell my cousin that we would go to dinner first and come back later, and then dragged her away in a hurry.

I met a cleaner's aunt at about 100 meters. I asked her if the intermediary really helped me find a job. That aunt secretly told us that it was all a lie. Don't believe it! After thanking us, we patted our chests. That was close! Then I took the return bus directly back to the factory. The impression at that time was: there are too many liars in this world!

Later, I went downtown again with a friend who had really been to the city talent market. This time, we found the real talent market, which is a brand-name building. There is a long queue at the door, all looking for jobs. You can only go upstairs when you hand in the admission ticket for 10 yuan at the entrance of the building. There are recruitment halls on the second floor and the third floor. There are about hundreds of recruitment units, various companies and units, and people looking for jobs are even more dark.

We walked around and couldn't find a suitable job. After all, we don't have much work experience.

Finally, I stopped at the recruitment desk of a construction hardware company and filled in the relevant information of the clerk. The director of the company asked us to wait for the notice. Then I asked him in a joking tone. You won't lie to us, will you? He said strangely, why should I lie to you? My daily admission fee is 100! At that time, I realized that opening a talent market in Guangdong is much more profitable than opening a supermarket.

I finally succeeded in jumping ship through that job fair! Finding the right talent market is really important.

Later, I returned to my hometown because I got married and had children. During this period, there were jobs and unemployment, but I feel that finding a job is not as complicated as before. Although it was really difficult to find a satisfactory job at the beginning, now we have a formal recruitment platform, which is not only free, but also the information is true, open and transparent, which makes us feel at ease on the way to find a job.
