Project Introduction of Pengze Nuclear Power Project

On September 25, 2005, Jiangxi Province and China Power Investment Corporation signed the "Agreement for the Construction of Jiangxi Nuclear Power Phase I Project." In December 2005, the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Group Company submitted a jointly prepared "Jiangxi Nuclear Power Phase I Project Proposal" to the National Development and Reform Commission, recommending the Pengze Maoshan plant site as a priority candidate site.

In February 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission decided to launch inland nuclear power construction. The Pengze project was one of the first batch of inland nuclear power projects and adopted the third-generation AP1000 technology route.

In June 2008, the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and China Power Investment Corporation jointly submitted a "request for approval to carry out the preliminary work of the Jiangxi Pengze Nuclear Power Plant Project" to the National Development and Reform Commission, applying for a construction scale of four million kilowatts. AP1000 pressurized water reactor nuclear power unit, and room for expansion of two units is reserved.

The first phase project of Jiangxi Pengze Nuclear Power Plant is controlled, invested and constructed by China Power Investment Corporation. China Power Investment Jiangxi Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. is the operating unit of Jiangxi Pengze Nuclear Power Plant. The general contractor of the first phase project construction is China Power Investment Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. Co., Ltd., conducts comprehensive management of the construction site of nuclear power projects, and controls the safety, quality, progress and investment of project construction.
