Blue Whale Media, a financial information service provider, recently received a $50 million Series A financing led by CDH Capital, a top investment institution in China, followed by Panshi Capital and Ruiye Capital.

It is reported that with this round of investment, Blue Whale Media will further strengthen the construction of technical team and editing team, and expand new business areas in a timely manner. During the year, Blue Whale Media will recruit 200 financial journalists and editors, covering various industries. At present, Blue Whale's content team mainly comes from mainstream portals such as Sina, Sohu and Tencent, while the technical team is mainly composed of technical leaders of leading Internet companies such as Baidu, Sina and Tencent.

At present, Blue Whale Media consists of five business segments: Blue Whale Financial Journalist Work Platform for Financial Journalists, Bee Network System for B-end institutional investors, Financial Association for C-end users, Blue Whale TMT for TMT industry and Muddy Water Media Portal focusing on mobile communication.

Blue Whale Media was founded on 20 12, and the initial strategic investor was Securities Times Financial Media Group headed by People's Daily. It is reported that with the rapid expansion of business and the pursuit of its business model by various capitals, Blue Whale Media will start the B round of financing this year.
