1. The school was formerly the Forestry Department of Central University and the Forestry Department of Jinling University. Nanjing Forestry College was merged in 1952, which was one of the only three forestry colleges in China at that time. Department of Forestry, Huazhong Agricultural College 1955 merged, 1972 was renamed Nanjing Forestry Industry Institute, and 1983 was restored.
