Day 4: How to quickly master the design points
Rethink, why do my designs always accomplish nothing?
It seems to have done a lot, but in fact, the direction was wrong from the beginning.
Why can't you grasp the key points of design in the first place?
The customer made a request, didn't pay attention to it ideologically, and then fell into the idea of taking it for granted. Do what you think is good.
In the process of design, the idea went further and further, and finally completely deviated from the track.
I didn't think clearly at first, and my mind was in a mess. I didn't understand what the customer wanted and what the general direction of design was.
Without a clear picture in my mind, I jumped into a rotten quagmire and finally got deeper and deeper.
The most obvious example: A customer wants to be Yi Labao, and the demand is to "recruit" Yi Labao. I blocked such an important key information because of a strange coincidence.
I fell into my own thinking again, and finally I designed a poster with the theme of company promotion.
I really don't know where my brain went. Finally, I had to rework it and make it again. After grasping the key points of recruitment, I finished a signboard poster with customer satisfaction in less than half an hour, wasting a lunch break.
1. Make clear the customer's requirements and record them in words. Thinking should always focus on customer needs and not deviate from the theme.
For example, you need a mobile booth that can cover the whole door. Keywords: large mobile billboards. After mastering these keywords, design according to these requirements.
2. Find some adjectives to describe the final picture effect.
For example, the logo wall of the bar association, its key words are: solemn, steady and atmospheric. Then around these keywords, the general effect is presented in my mind.
Find similar materials with this property for design and processing.
3. Before each design, it takes 1 hour to sort out ideas and determine the main needs of customers. It takes 1 hour to find design keywords, form a clear picture in your mind, and then look for materials.
4. Make sure the idea that can perfectly present the customer's needs before doing it.
