What do I need to do on the day of immigration formalities?

Generally, companies with a certain scale will have staff of human resources department to guide new employees to go through relevant procedures on the day they join the company.

The first is to collect the relevant information of new employees, including academic qualifications, qualification certificates, certificates of termination of labor contracts with the original units, and identity certificates.

Then a process will be provided to tell new employees where to apply for work permit, meal card, accommodation (if any) and so on. After new employees settle down, they can report to the department.

Of course, there are two kinds of job reports. If there is induction training, it shall be conducted first, and then a labor contract shall be signed if the training is qualified. If there is no induction training, a labor contract will generally be signed on the day of registration. The probation period varies from 2 months to 6 months according to the Labor Contract Law, and the longest is no more than 6 months.

It should be noted that some units will require employees to have a physical examination, and they only need to cooperate with the company. Most enterprises will require employees to bear their own expenses.

There are two kinds of wages signed in the labor contract, one is the salary during the working period, that is, the basic salary, and the other is the fixed salary system, that is, only the basic salary (that is, the part that pays social security and provident fund) is signed in the contract, and the specific salary is determined by the department head and the human resources department according to the negotiation at the time of application, and most enterprises will abide by the salary commitment at the time of application.
