To become a professional player, you need to obtain professional points through ranking matches. Currently, there are six competitions every year called the National Professional Snooker Ranking Tournament. The ranking competition is divided into two stages: formal competition and qualifying competition.

The participating players in the official ranking competition are the top 16 players in the country and the 16 players who passed the qualifiers. The 32 participating players will receive professional points based on their competition results. According to the annual The total points from 6 ranking matches determine the professional ranking.

The qualifiers adopt open registration, that is, all domestic golfers can register to participate. The 6 qualifiers are usually completed in two or three games. For example, last year, two qualifiers were held in Zhengzhou and Guangzhou, each time competing for qualifications for 3 stations, with 16 places in each station.

The problem of becoming a professional golfer will be clearer after understanding the ranking competition. As long as you get into the top 16 of the ranking tournament qualifiers, you will have professional points to become a professional golfer. However, maintaining a professional ranking is more difficult than becoming a professional golfer. Only the top 16 players in the overall ranking every year can guarantee the qualifications for the official ranking competition next year. Players other than the top 16 still have to participate in the qualifiers. If they fail to pass the qualifiers one year, they will not have a few points this year, and they will fade out of the scope of professional golfers the next year.

The qualifiers usually involve nearly a hundred golfers participating in a single-elimination system, and the competition is quite brutal and fierce. Even if you pass the previous games, you will still have to face 16 professional golfers ranked 16-32 in the final round of qualifying to compete for the qualifications to participate in the official competition.

Every year, the Chinese Billiards Association will regularly announce the time of the qualifiers, that is, the registration method and competition location. There is no bonus for participating in the qualifiers, and all expenses must be borne by yourself. The registration fee is 100 yuan for each competition. If you can pass the qualifiers, there will be bonuses and appearance fees for the official competition, and accommodation will also be provided by the organizer.
