Is nuclear power any good?

With the rapid development of nuclear power today, more and more people dream of working in nuclear power and want to take advantage of the great opportunity of the country's development of nuclear power to realize their personal life value. This idea is understandable and is in line with the development of the country. Trend, and can achieve personal goals, why not? Furthermore, in the context of the financial crisis, employment pressure in colleges and universities is also increasing. It is sometimes difficult to find an ordinary job, let alone work in nuclear power. Driven by external calls from the country and inner desires, many junior brothers and sisters entered nuclear power work. Students are students after all, and they don’t know much about the operating mechanism of nuclear power. When they start working in nuclear power and feel that life in a nuclear power plant is not what they want, it is difficult to regret it. In most cases, it is difficult to get off the job. Next, through a brief introduction, I try to let the junior brothers and sisters have a general and complete understanding of nuclear power. (It’s a bit shameless to say so, ^_^)

1. Nuclear power treatment. What everyone cares most about when looking for a job is salary, and the generous benefits at nuclear power plants may be the biggest motivation to attract people to nuclear power. Objectively speaking, nuclear power benefits are considered to be above average among social classes. Every company is different, some have higher wages, some have higher benefits, but the total is basically the same. This is mainly because they are afraid of brain drain due to remuneration issues, especially among power stations within a group, the remuneration is almost the same. Big ones. Companies with a high basic salary will have slightly inferior benefits. On the contrary, if the salary is low, other welfare subsidies will be slightly higher. As for the specific amount of salary, it is inconvenient to reveal it for two reasons: first, the salary amount is the business secret of each company; secondly, if some juniors and juniors came for the salary, but the salary was not paid, wouldn't it be a mistake? If you want to know more details, you can find some alumni who work at your "target power station" and inquire privately.

2. Nuclear power work content. What are the specific duties of working in a nuclear power plant? Generally speaking, in the early stage of a nuclear power plant, there are: Production Preparation Department, Human Resources Department, General Manager Department, Procurement Department, Design Management Department, Engineering Construction Department, etc. In the early stage, it was mainly the work of the Production Preparation Department. For example, the training of operators and the reserve of technical talents were all managed by this department. When the juniors and juniors went to work in the newly-opened nuclear power plant, they basically went to work in these departments. As the project progressed, With the progress, most of these departments will be subdivided into operations, maintenance, instrument control, design and other departments. The following is a detailed introduction to these departments:

Operation: Responsible for the daily operation of the nuclear power plant, equivalent to the driver of the car, mainly responsible for driving. What they focus on is how to run the car at full load safely, efficiently and economically to achieve the goal of the nuclear power plant. benefit. The operator has a thorough understanding of the power station process system and comprehensive theoretical knowledge, but does not know much about the specific structure and design principles of the equipment

Maintenance: It is responsible for the maintenance of the power station equipment, or use driving as an example. If there is a problem with the car, you need to be able to deal with the problem and defect in time. When the car stops, the maintenance staff will be even busier. Almost all equipment needs to be repaired. Of course, hundreds of maintenance people cannot complete such a huge task. Usually, every day Each power station has many contractors, including those from the Nuclear Power Institute and conventional power station maintenance engineering companies.

Instrument control: A nuclear power plant is a complex system. How to make these systems work together smoothly is the main task of instrument control. The maintenance of instruments, the optimization of control systems, and the realization of process protection are all the main tasks of instrument control. For the control of the secondary loop, China's technology is very mature, and common DCS systems can handle it. Shanghai's Xinhua and Nari are both relatively powerful companies in our country.

Three nuclear power working modes. Life in nuclear power is relatively rigorous. Its main job is to ensure nuclear safety, followed by power generation, because once a nuclear accident occurs, it will not only affect one nuclear power plant, but also the entire development process of nuclear power in China.

In this context, the working efficiency of nuclear power is not as high as that of foreign companies, and there is also some shuffling. In addition, as the nuclear power company is a state-owned enterprise, the operation of the entire organization will be slower. For example, during the commissioning period, a test that can be completed in two hours, It usually takes several days to prepare. On the day of the test, the leaders of each department will hold a meeting to arrange the division of labor. After the test is completed, everyone will be summoned to summarize and analyze. Finally, a dedicated person will write a report, which will be reviewed and signed step by step. Finally, Submit it to the National Nuclear Safety Administration. The Nuclear Safety Administration will convene an expert meeting to analyze and approve it before releasing it for you. Only then can you start the next job. Junior brothers and sisters who are impatient or who do not adapt to this system may not be used to it when they first come, but they will get used to it after staying for a long time.

Everything has advantages and disadvantages. Things are divided into two, and nuclear power work is no exception. Now I will talk about the pros and cons of working in a nuclear power plant.

Benefits:

1. The salary is high, the job is stable, and there is little social impact. This is the best choice for those who pursue the kind of life where a wife and children live on the hot bed. You can work silently in a small city for a lifetime and have no worries about food and clothing. Such a life is not bad! Like the financial crisis and inflation, it is not bad for you. There is basically no impact on your life (^_^unless you invest in the stock and property markets).

2. Interpersonal relationships are relatively simple. This is for those who are engaged in technology. If you are engaged in administration or leadership, it is a different matter. Of course, this simplicity is compared to the officialdom of government agencies. According to my observation, most people who work in technology are kind-hearted and not too ill-intentioned. These people are easier to get along with and can talk about anything they have to say.

3. Developing nuclear power is one of our current energy policies. If you can follow the national policy and work hard, you will have a greater chance of making achievements and standing out.

Four. Improve personal abilities. This ability includes technology and work. People who have experienced nuclear power plant debugging have rich experience. This is a huge personal wealth. It is said that some people go there specifically to debug power plants, not for salary but to gain experience. Nuclear power people with rich experience No matter where you go, it's a hot commodity. The second is your ability to deal with things. Often dealing with so many people, your ability to communicate, coordinate and coordinate the overall situation will definitely be greatly improved.

Disadvantages:

1. The job is small in the city. Except for Qinshan and Shenzhen, the remaining cities where nuclear power plants are located are generally relatively backward cities in the province. The quality of life in a small city is greatly compromised. The people you come into contact with and your ideas are far different from those living in a big city. (I don’t even have a decent movie theater in this city^_^) The Qinshan and Daya Bay factories are two hours’ drive from the city center, and they basically go home once a week.

2. The selection target is narrow (for male compatriots, female compatriots entering nuclear power cannot worry about becoming "leftover women"^_^). At a certain nuclear power plant, it is said that people who graduated from Tsinghua University and those who graduated from junior high school education can be combined. You can’t blame them for being “unselective”. When you get older, you have no choice but to be pushed by your family. When you look at the children of your colleagues around you, you will be so jealous that you get married on impulse. . Little do they know that differences in cultural levels and family backgrounds will bring about big problems in married life, and divorce is not uncommon. Many people are looking for girls from the area where the nuclear power plant is located. Most of the girls do not value you as a person, but value your job and stable salary. The first words of the leader who come here are: You can also find local girls, but You need to keep your eyes open! If you bring it from school or hometown to the city where you work, it is difficult to find a job. Even if you find it, it is not a decent and formal job. Brothers who pursue perfection have to consider these issues.

3. The work content is monotonous and boring. Nuclear power work does not require you to do tricks or innovate. What leaders like are responsible people who are hard-working and uncomplaining like cattle. At the start of a new year, you may find yourself starting the same routine again, like a cow circling a millstone. Brothers who like to work hard and explore are better to go to a design institute for graduate school. When you come here, you will find that you are out of place. Deep down in your heart, you often feel that you are overqualified.

4. The working environment is harsh.

There are only a few people who actually sit in offices. Most people have to go to the site frequently. The site of the power station is full of dangers: radiation, electric shock, steam, chemical reagents. For the operators, they have to go around the site almost every day, which can be counted as He is the hardest working person at the power station.

Now I will talk about the situation of several nuclear power plants in China that I know, and I hope it will be of some help to my junior brothers and sisters.

CGN:

Because Daya Bay introduces French technology, its management is relatively Westernized and humane, focusing on the personal development of employees. However, in recent years, it has been involved in wind power and bio-power generation and expanded across the country. I wonder if the treatment of employees can be guaranteed? Prices are high in Shenzhen. Even if you get 100,000 yuan per year, it can only be considered average in Shenzhen. The relative income is not high. It takes almost ten years to save for a house. The cost of living is too high. It has several power stations including Daya Bay, Ling'ao, Yangjiang and Hongyanhe. Daya Bay is very close to Ling'ao. The social security in Yangjiang is not good. Last year, it was reported that gangsters were rampant in Yangjiang. The Hongyan River in Dalian is under construction. Dalian is a typical low-income and high-consumption city. It is said that Hongyan River is far away from Dalian City. The district is also far away. Last year, CGN successively started preparations for new nuclear power projects in Xianning, Hubei and Fangchenggang, Guangxi, which shows its momentum.

China National Nuclear Corporation:

It did not start out in nuclear power. China National Nuclear Corporation is involved in nuclear power, nuclear military industry, uranium mine development, nuclear design and other fields. CNNC has strong design capabilities. The institute is very good, with many research institutes under it, and its scientific research capabilities are very strong. This determines that in the process of nuclear power construction and research and development, his technical capabilities are not comparable to that of Guangdong Nuclear Power. Even if Guangdong Nuclear Power bought Suzhou Thermal Engineering Institute, it would not be able to rely on it. Central core counterbalance. Secondly, China National Nuclear Corporation has a great say in China's nuclear fuel supply. Its Yibin Nuclear Fuel Element Factory provides nuclear fuel for many domestic nuclear power plants. However, due to the large structure of CNNC and the large number of personnel, it seems to be backward in terms of resource allocation and management within the group. Bureaucracy is still prevalent in some places. In this case, it is difficult to mobilize the enthusiasm of personnel. Recently, there has been a serious loss of personnel within CNNC. , illustrates this point. In Zhonghe, I rarely feel humanistic care and the realization of personal values, but more of people's administrative orders. CNNC has subsidiaries including Qinshan in Zhejiang, Tianwan in Jiangsu, Sanmen in Zhejiang, Fuqing in Fujian, Taohuajiang in Hunan, and Xudabao in Liaoning (under preparation).

Qinshan is divided into phases one, two and three. The first phase was designed by China’s own technology and is currently operating in average condition. I heard that many of the employees there are now internal disciples. The second phase is a replica of Daya Bay’s technology. Many problems have arisen during operation, and two units have been expanded in the second phase. The third phase is a heavy water reactor, which mainly produces nuclides. The Qinshan base has a good geographical location. It is very close to Shanghai and Hangzhou. The treatment is not much different. The first and third phases have not been expanded. It seems that the second phase is better at the moment.

Tianwan was originally said to be commercially launched in 1999, but it was delayed for a long time due to problems with equipment and personnel. It was said that the Russians used Tianwan as a test base. This cannot be true, right? There are also reasons for this. . The welfare of Tianwan currently seems to be the best among these nuclear power plants. However, Lianyungang, where Tianwan is located, is really poor. It has been developed for so many years as one of the first batch of coastal open cities such as Qingdao, Dalian, and Zhuhai. It is similar to a prefecture-level city in the west. It is really a failure. The quality of the people here is overall poor. Although the climate is good, the cultural environment is too poor and is not suitable for people to live for a long time. Those who are interested in going to Tianwan should go on a field trip to experience the local atmosphere before making a decision!

Sanmen is considered to be more humane among these nuclear power plants, and the treatment and wages are not bad. I have a few dissatisfactions. First, a house in Ningbo's Galaxy Bay community costs more than 800,000 yuan, and with decoration, it may cost nearly one million yuan. Secondly, the technology of the three-door AP1000 is something that the United States itself does not dare to use. It has a non-active safety injection system and a main pump that does not require maintenance for 60 years. It always feels a bit mysterious and not so reliable. Some conclusions cannot be drawn until it is commercially shipped.

Taohuajiang has a good geographical location, an hour's drive from Changsha. It also uses AP1000 technology. It used to be engaged in M310, but the M310 equipment was allocated to the Fuqing Hotan Bay expansion project. Now it is recruiting I was one of the first batch of ROs. I received 401 theoretical training in Beijing. After the first phase of on-site training in Qinshan, I obtained the RO license there.

Fuqing, very close to Fuzhou, uses the M310 reactor type and is currently under construction.

Hainan Nuclear Power, the first batch of ROs are currently training in Qinshan Phase II

Huaneng Shidaowan Nuclear Power

Huaneng is preparing to start construction of a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor. The purpose is to obtain the qualifications to engage in nuclear power through the gas-cooled reactor project, and then aggressively enter the nuclear power field. Unfortunately, gas-cooled reactor technology is progressing slowly, and the key equipment helium compressor is still in the development stage. The reactor core design was done by Tsinghua University (several graduate students who passed the Jiaotong University exam are doing this), and its prototype reactor is Tsinghua's 10MW reactor. For gas-cooled reactors, it is said that the construction of key equipment has been delayed, and it is estimated that some technologies have not yet made breakthroughs. The Huaneng nuclear power class currently recruiting at Jiaotong University is probably preparing for pressurized water reactors. I heard that the company for the pressurized water reactor project is already in the process of establishing itself. In view of the "suppression" of China National Nuclear Corporation and Guangdong Nuclear Power on Huaneng, I personally estimate that the first batch of ROs for Huaneng's pressurized water reactors may go abroad for training. Shidao Bay is located in Rongcheng, Shandong Province, very close to Weihai. It is said to be good.

Shandong Nuclear Power. It is controlled by China Power Investment Corporation and is located in Haiyang, Shandong Province, a county-level city under Yantai. Because China Power Investment is a thermal power company, it has copied the thermal power system in many aspects. There has been a lot of staff turnover in recent years, and wages have been average. When I graduated, I said that power generation in 2013 has not officially started yet. Also: Huaneng The thermal power background of China Power Investment Corporation determines that their company's personnel structure is very complicated. Many people come from thermal power through connections, and there are very few university graduates. This may be the original intention of setting up a nuclear power class at Jiaotong University. I also heard that there are students in Haiyang RO who study aircraft design, so it shows that their backgrounds are extraordinary! This is true for state-owned enterprises, and there are many people with connections. Don't feel unbalanced when you encounter someone. Just adjust your mentality and do your job well. Don't worry too much.
