What's the difference between Chengdu Panda Base and Dujiangyan Panda Paradise?

Chengdu Giant Panda Base: No.375, Panda Avenue, Waipi, Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

Dujiangyan Panda Paradise: Located in Huaizhong Road, Shi Qiaocun, Qingchengshan Town, this city, it is 18km away from the urban area, connected to Qingchengshan, a Taoist holy place in the north, and Jiezi Ancient Town in western Sichuan in the south, and connected with it by provincial highway s 106 (Western Sichuan Tourism Ring Road).

2. The construction background is different.

Chengdu Giant Panda Base:

Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base was established on the basis of raising, treating and breeding giant pandas in Chengdu Zoo. In the 1980s, the cold arrow bamboo in Qionglai Mountain bloomed and died, and some giant pandas were rescued and concentrated in Chengdu Zoo because of lack of food and hunger. 1987 in order to strengthen the management of the rescue of the sick and hungry giant pandas, separate the functions of panda education and exhibition from those of rescue research, strengthen the scientific research of giant pandas, and improve the breeding level of giant pandas, the Chengdu Municipal People's Government decided to establish the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base.

Dujiangyan Panda Paradise:

In the "5. 12" Wenchuan earthquake, the giant panda enclosure, scientific research facilities and equipment of China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Research Center") were seriously damaged. On June 19, 2009, with the approval of Sichuan Development and Reform Commission, it was agreed to build Dujiangyan Giant Panda Rescue and Disease Prevention and Control Center (now named Dujiangyan Base of China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center) in Shi Qiaocun Wolong Nature Reserve, Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan City, and it was included in the scope of aid construction by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

3. The base distribution is different.

Chengdu Giant Panda Base:

Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base has five departments, namely General Secretariat, Animal Breeding Management Department, Animal Disease Prevention and Control Department, Animal Protection Research Center and Dujiangyan Wild Breeding Research Center.

Dujiangyan Panda Paradise:

According to different functions, Panda Paradise is mainly divided into seven areas: disease prevention and control research area, quarantine isolation area, rehabilitation training area, public education area, natural landscape area and office area, among which rehabilitation training area, public education area and natural landscape area will be fully open to the public.
