With the footsteps of summer, 5. 12 international nurses' day has come to us. Nurse's Day is the best day for our nurses. Celebrating the "5. 12" International Nurses' Day is to advocate, inherit and carry forward the Nightingale spirit and show angels in white's humanitarian style of caring for life and health. To this end, the nursing department held a series of activities to celebrate our own festivals.

First, select excellent nurses

According to the selection requirements of Haimen Health Bureau, five outstanding nurses in Haimen were selected, and the hospital decided to select 10 outstanding nurses in the whole hospital. Each department recommended an excellent nurse, and voted for three nurses at the weekly meeting of the hospital. Two head nurses were excellent nurses in Haimen, seven nurses were selected and three head nurses were excellent nurses in the hospital.

Second, the popular science activity of "Health comes into my home with our nurses"

In order to actively respond to the call of superiors and combine the voluntary nursing activities in our hospital, our hospital has seriously carried out the activity of "nursing service into the family". Through in-depth understanding of the community, we chose two special families to provide on-site service.

On the morning of May 9th, Gao Hong, head nurse of internal medicine ward and surgical ward of our hospital, together with the deputy director of emergency department, came to Gu Grandma's house in Shishan New Village, Haimen City. Grandma Gu has been recuperating at home since she underwent interventional surgery for deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs two months ago. She is 88 years old and has been lying in bed. Because the old man's blood viscosity is high, she wants to take blood tests for routine blood tests and prothrombin time, but her back hurts so much that she can't move, so she dare not go to the hospital for blood tests. The medical staff came to Grandma Gu's bedside, asked questions, checked the physical condition of the elderly, and patiently and meticulously explained the daily health care knowledge to their families. Two head nurses draw blood, measure blood pressure and do back massage for the elderly.

On the morning of May 12, nurses came to an old people's home on Renmin West Road in Haimen City. There are two old people at home, aged 93 and 90 respectively. My grandmother suffers from hypertension, chronic bronchitis and Alzheimer's disease. Grandpa has blindness, heart disease and chronic constipation. The medical staff took his blood pressure, counted his pulse, examined his body for auscultation, looked up medicines, and gave guidance to the elderly in taking medicines and eating. Knowing that the economic situation of the children of the elderly was not good, the medical staff finally bought medicine at their own expense and sent it to the elderly.

Entering family activities through nursing service has narrowed the distance between medical staff and ordinary people and established a good image. The hospital will insist on volunteering in family activities and turn it into a long-term job, providing tangible help to more vulnerable people.

Third, the reading report meeting of "improving humanistic quality and promoting quality nursing" and the celebration of nurses' day.

12 On the evening of May 6th, all the nurses in the hospital except the nurses on duty gathered in the conference room on the fifth floor of the hospital to hold a celebration meeting for Nurses' Day. All members of the hospital leadership team came to the scene. Dean Gu, Secretary Dai Haiqiang and Director Gu spoke at the meeting successively, extending cordial greetings to the nursing workers and their families who fought in the front line, and fully affirmed the achievements made by the quality nursing service activities of traditional Chinese medicine hospital and the nursing sister in the re-evaluation process of grade hospitals last year.

At the meeting, awards were given to outstanding nurses in Haimen, outstanding nurses in hospitals and winners of Shan Zhi competition.

Next, a reading report meeting will be held with the theme of "improving humanistic quality and promoting quality nursing". In order to hold the next reading report meeting, the nursing department bought several classic books in March, such as "Thank you for the beauty of life", "Fu Lei's letter", "Talking about self-cultivation" and "How full your bucket is", and distributed a set to each department. Prior to this, a preliminary contest was held on May 8, and 25 people participated in the preliminary contest. 10 was selected. Some started from the actual work, put the ups and downs of clinical nursing work into words, and showed us the mental journey of nursing workers through emotional speeches. After fierce competition, the first prize 1 name, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes were awarded. In order to celebrate the "5. 12" International Nurses' Day, carry forward the Nightingale spirit, enhance nurses' awareness of striving for Excellence, cultivate outstanding nursing talents and show the enterprising spirit of nurses in our hospital, the nursing department organized a series of celebration activities during the Nurses' Day, which are summarized as follows:

(a) selection of outstanding head nurses and outstanding nurses

On the eve of "512" International Nurses' Day, in order to show the professional ethics and spiritual outlook of nursing professionals in our hospital, further mobilize the enthusiasm of nursing staff and improve the level and quality of nursing management in the whole hospital, six outstanding head nurses, including Shi and Zhang Hui, and 27 outstanding nurses, including Niu and Pan, were selected through layer-by-layer recommendation and selection.

(two) the organization of health science publicity and consultation activities.

On May 6th, Assistant Director Shi of the Nursing Department led eight head nurses and nursing backbones to Wenfeng World to measure blood pressure for community residents and passers-by, give guidance on health-related knowledge and skills such as respiration, digestion, cardiovascular disease prevention and care, rehabilitation care, maternal and child care and skin care, and distribute health publicity materials to them. This activity has been affirmed and welcomed by the general public. From 8: 30 in the morning, people came to consult in an endless stream. In just three hours, * * * received more than 150 people.

(3) Convene the Nurses' Day commendation meeting and the nursing service scene exhibition competition.

On the evening of May 1 1, the conference room on the third floor of our canteen was brightly lit and crowded. With the care and strong support of hospital leaders, the "512" international nurses' day commendation meeting and nursing service scene exhibition competition was grandly held here. Wang Ping, Wang Dan, Director of Health Bureau, Deputy Director Gao Feng, hospital leaders, nurses in the whole hospital and some clinical medical and technical colleagues attended the meeting. Six sitcoms on nursing services written and directed by medical staff from various disciplines have well demonstrated their good professional image, service attitude, communication skills and skillful health education and nursing professional skills. It is the work aim of nursing staff in our hospital to advocate the nursing service concept of "people-oriented, nursing starts from the heart" and deepen the work of "demonstration project of quality nursing service". Real events, touching scenes, familiar scenes and humorous performances make the audience present burst into tears and burst into laughter. After 1 more hours of intense competition, the icu team stood out because of its love performance and won the championship in one fell swoop. The department of infectious diseases "a newborn patient with severe hepatitis" and orthopedics "warm and powerful, true love" won the second and third place respectively; Long live understanding in pediatric ward, Love of Angels in internal medicine, and My Angel in White Dream in major surgery won the Excellence Award. The nursing service scene exhibition competition aims to show the standardized nursing service process of medical staff from admission to discharge by using typical cases and work problems found in daily work as materials and comprehensively using professional etiquette, nursing routine, core system and emergency plan.
