On the morning of April 25th, 2005, when interviewing important cultural relics buried during the Opium War in Huangpu District, Lu Xianmei, the head of Wenchong Village, told reporters about this stone tablet excavated by Guangzhou archaeologists in Niudi Street, Wenyuan, Shihua Road, Huangpu District. Since the surrounding residents often went to the ancestral temple to dismantle stones for building materials, the military shrine in Xiangzhen Town had been completely destroyed by around 1940. Since then, this plaque in Xiangzhen Military Shrine has been wandering and made. Finally, it was buried here around 1962 and became the wall of the pond.

In the mid-1990s, the cultural relics department grasped the specific location of this stone carving. Later, Long Puyao of Guangzhou CPPCC proposed to excavate it. After 10 years of hard work, cultural relics workers finally fulfilled their long-cherished wish.
