5. Smooth steel wire rope has a short service life and the market demand drops sharply, so it is being completely eliminated by phosphating coated steel wire rope.

For hoisting machinery used in atmospheric environment, manganese phosphating coated wire rope is preferred, hot dip galvanized-phosphating double-coated wire rope is preferred in heavy corrosive environment, and marine wire rope is preferred in seawater.
