First of all, the relatives of the deceased employees need to pay social security normally in the month of death, and apply for reimbursement of medical expenses, declare death and downsizing, and extract the personal part of the application for social security in the next month. It is worth mentioning that on-the-job employees have no compensation for death and funeral.

According to the current law, no matter whether the insured employee dies before or after retirement, his personal account funds (balance) can be inherited according to law, and the saying of "confiscation" does not exist. For the part paid by the individual, the unpaid part will be returned. After the death of employees, urban individual workers or retirees, the part paid by individuals in the basic old-age insurance can be inherited by the heirs according to the following provisions. * * * is divided into three situations:

1. If an employee dies, the individual contribution and interest of the basic old-age insurance premium can be fully inherited.

2. If an individual worker dies before reaching the statutory retirement age, all the basic old-age insurance premiums and interest paid by him can be inherited.

3. Retirees and urban self-employed workers who receive basic old-age insurance on a monthly basis die, and the balance of individual contributions and interest in the amount stored in their personal accounts can be inherited.

On-the-job employees and mobile insured persons shall prepare the following materials according to the actual situation:

1. On-the-job personnel change form, the death certificate of the deceased (cancelled by the police station), the original ID card and the photocopy of the household registration book (1 copy goes through the formalities of death insurance suspension at the registration department, and 1 copy goes through the formalities of surrender at the pension treatment department);

2. The original and photocopy of the heir's household registration book and ID card 1 copy;

3. Successive ICBC personal settlement account (local) 1 copy;

4. Proof of whether the parents of the deceased are alive or not (if the parents are alive or one of them is alive and does not inherit the pension account of the deceased, you need to write a "Voluntary Abandonment of Inheritance" before your death, which will be signed and sealed by yourself; If both parents are dead or one of them is dead, and the deceased has the status of an on-the-job employee, the enterprise will issue a death certificate after investigating the death of his parents, and the residents' committee will issue a death certificate if he is insured.

5. If the deceased has a spouse, the original and photocopy of the marriage certificate shall be provided 1 copy; Divorced, you need to provide the original and copy of the divorce certificate1; If the deceased is unmarried, provide the original and photocopy of the unmarried certificate issued by the Civil Affairs Bureau. If the spouse does not inherit the pension account of the deceased, he/she needs to write a "Voluntary Abandonment of Inheritance", signed by himself/herself and fingerprinted (if the spouse dies, if the deceased is an on-the-job employee, the enterprise will issue a death certificate after investigating his/her spouse's death, and if it is a mobile insured, the neighborhood committee will issue a death certificate);

6. If the deceased has children, if the children are underage (16 years old), the original and photocopy of the household registration book shall be provided. If the child is an adult (16 years old or older) and does not inherit the deceased's pension account, it is necessary to write a letter of voluntary abandonment with his/her signature and fingerprint. If the deceased has a spouse but no children, a certificate shall be issued by the neighborhood committee. Note: Relevant materials that can prove the relationship between the parents, spouses and children of the deceased, such as marriage certificate and household registration book. If you can't prove the relationship with the deceased, you need to be notarized by the national notary office or the neighborhood Committee to issue relevant certificates.
